Looks like you have all the studs out. Putting new ones in?

Yeap, I got a NOS set from REDDAT on ebay.

He's a cool cat with good NOS stuff.

I wanted to make sure I had them all when I put to Manifolds back on.

I got the 4 BIG Intake bolts but one of the exhaust studs fell down the

engine bay, hit the ground, then shoot off to the other side of car near the

gutter.

I still have yet to find it LOL

I love the updated intake. Tell us how the shop towels work out for lowend power. LOL Just kiding ya

I've been there done that a few times. looking good.

It works GREAT :classic: one of the selling features is it keeps

condensation out of your combustion chamber :D

I did it myslef and used the MAN UP KIT.

It comes with such things as Chest Hair, Guns (Muscles), Stamina, Confidence

you know, manly things like that LOLROFLLOLROFL

TIP~ use your manifold studs and hose clamps to plug up your

fuel filter hose so it won't keep bleeding.

Also plug up that other hose too which bleeds gasoline, I think it's

that giant black canistor thing, I jus know it I kept smelling gas, found the

hose then pluged it :smoke:

Na your both wrong. It's the sticker on the side of the valve cover that will produce better lowend power. It's the classic Ricer performance mod ROFLLOL

Don't take it seriously WingZr0. We know your not a ricer. Just couldn't resist

Yes, but it's an old school Trush muffler sticker, so it can't be rice. Haven't seen one of those in ages! Now why it is on the valve cover, that's another issue... :classic:

ROFL I was gonna get one of those Ricers Suck Decals jus for that same reason !

You know, the ones with the bowl of rice with chopsticks in it

cirlced and a slash through it :D

I like Thrush as my muffler of choice cause I always liked Woodywood Pecker,

then ANSA came along :classic:

So now I have 2 favorite muffle companies!

I chose to represent Thrush on my valve cover and now that I have a

neat ANSA collection I'll put a nonpermanent removable vinyl

sticker on my fender panels mounted dead center for all to know ^_^

Future plans call now for a Dynamic Duo team up!

A Thrush straight through (glasspackish type?) (premuffler?)

near trans tunnel and a ANSA Marmitte exhaust resonnator and tip inplace

of stock muffler.

I think the sound should be very unique,

I want LOUD ~and~ DEEP !

My state of things is I got ordered my tickets to Cali. I am flying January 8th, and will be leaving on the 20th for the great 2,400 mile journey back home in the Z!

So your taking the trip huh?

You've been planing that trip for awhile, any chance you'll stop by White Castles on the way :D

or other places?

Don't care for his high shipping costs and the fact that you don't find out the shipping costs 'till after you win the auction. I can find the stuff he sells elswhere.
Plus he uses shady marketing. He lists all his new parts as NOS. Sorry, reddat, but the 'O' in NOS means 'Old'. It's not NOS if I can walk into my local Nissan dealer and order it.

Example - he sells 'NOS' L-series oil filters. I just bought one from my dealer a couple weeks ago, they had them on the shelf. He calls it NOS, puts an opening bid of $11.95 or a BIN of $16.95, both plus who knows how much shipping. I paid less than $6 after Z-car club discount. Doesn't sound like a nice guy to me...

Lots of people sell Datsun stuff on eBay that can still be purchased at the dealer or other factory based parts sources. I'm not a huge fan of eBay. I only buy things that I've done research on, know I can't find anywhere else, like the price and shipping costs. Even then I check feedback profiles and sellers former names, history, etc. And I would never purchase a 'big ticket' item like a car, motorcycle or basically anything that costs more than about $70-80 on eBay. There's just to much B.S. and potentially dishonest stuff going on there.

I was wondering why this thread is so wide. I have a widescreen and I still have to scroll side to side. Hey, WingZro, think 800 x 600 or smaller!

I know I know. :D Just joking around because Ricer's seem to think that if they slap any sticker/decal on there car, fat a$$ tail pipe, large rear spoiler ect. they think it makes it super fast and cool. If they only knew the truth :dead: LOL

I know he wouldn't do that stuff, hence why I made the joke in the first place :)

:classic: So you got the Baller Screen ^_^

I'll keep tha size down yo ^^

I hear ya,

I thought the AFM to Throttle Body Boot hose clamps were

kinda of an odd item MSA might not have so I odered a set those and

new Splash Pan Bolts aswell.

Shipping was reasonble also and comparable to other sources with

combined shipping so I thought I give 'em a shout.

Overall I'm happy with the parts and experience ^_^

~~ Note~ the clamps were not the same as the stock ones on my Z,

the style is the same but screw is different so I'll use the lock washer from it

on the old clamp since I only bought it cause I last a washer.

I know I know. :D Just joking around because Ricer's seem to think that if they slap any sticker/decal on there car, fat a$$ tail pipe, large rear spoiler ect. they think it makes it super fast and cool. If they only knew the truth :dead: LOL

LOL Nothing makes me madder than hearing a Raggedy Muffler

that the engine's not tuned to

You know what I mean? No back preasure, hollow sounding and

louder than a Leaf Blower !

The coolest thing I saw was this Hot Asian Honey on the freeway in Sacromento

flying by me in a 96 Prelude, I wanna say, doing 80 who had

her stuff Tuned!

The sound was Loud, High Pitched, had Perect Top Notch Concussion

and had all the markings of racing Intake and Exhaust.

I think she had an Ingen Intake setup from the manifolds all way to the

silver muffler pipe on back.

You can tell she wasn't Ricer cause here Black rims were obvious quality,

the Champang Brown paint was clean and the suspension was

perfect ride height and handled flawless on the up and downs.

Man, I wish I could of got her number LOL

I was telling my friend Miguel who was with me at the time how

she had her stuff Tuned Top.

He's been listiening to me alot explaining enigine set ups and such and

how you can tell a Ricer from a Racer just be listiening and watching

a car in motion.

He tells me yesterday he just went on a date with a Ricer Chic and

wanted to see how serious she was.

When she pulled up he suspected she was Riced.

So he asked her where she got her muffler from.

When she replied Kregan he said he had to set her straight LOL:smoke:

You talking about the restaurant by chance? If I see one, hell yeah I am going to pull over. :classic: I know that there is one up in Nashville but I have yet to go there

Going to go across I-40, and my dad is wanting to also go sight seeing while he do this journey, so I am going to be looking a line for stuff that isn't too far off the interstate.

All I have to do is just put parts on the car before he head out all of which are bought except rotors and springs. All it is is to make it comfortable and safe during the drive (e.g. brakes, suspension, tires)

Then some other smaller pieces here and there.

Thats the way to go BRO ! :)

I segest each of you grab a 20 count bag, trust me.

Most deffinately go fo the ones with cheese on them, They're the

best for me although the plan ones are great too!

Think my dad said the farthest West he saw one was Kanses City.

Looks like you have all the studs out. Putting new ones in?

Does anyone know what studs go in which hole by chance ?

I know the 4 big silver ones go top but the other 3 types I

have no idea.

I have 4 short kinds with 5 longer ones that look alike

and 6 or 7 darker studs with thick washers on them.

I got the EGR Tube nuts off the Manifolds today with

Blakes advice (THYANKU :)) and went to set up the new studs but

was lost from there.

That's not the Road Runner, or Woody Woodpecker, that's the 'Thrush Bird'. Or at least that's what I've always heard people refer to him as. Though he also at times gets mistaken with the old Clay Smith Racing Cams logo, Mr. Horsepower, he is his own bird.

ROFL

You CRAZY BLAKE!

I always knew he wasn't my old boy Woody but I did have him peged as

Mr. Horse Power :)

I also have a decal of him too, jus the same as your photo above.

Roadrunner and Wile Coyote are one of those last cartoons

that really make me laugh.

Then came the Animaniacs! also a Warner Bros. make LOL
