AM Radio for 1970 Z

Yeah I know it's a long shot but has anyone got an original AM/FM radio as fitted to late 1970 Z's? I am looking for the one with the antennae switch that is to the side of the tuning knob, not the ones with the switch above the knob.

One word, ebay....

They come up every now and then, expect to pay up to $50.00 US for a good one, I recently got one for my 260 from the states $25.00 US Postage was around $25.00 US. I have seen 240z radios, they seem to go for a bit more. It sounds expensive but then again what price do you put on originality.

I can't believe I don't have a nice picture of good Hitachi AM. It had automatic signal seek and would be correct for a 1970 car. In shape like the second picture, expect to pay around $175.

The second picture is the Hitachi AM/FM with the antenna switch on the top of the face plate. I see these go for a little less, but every now and then they reach $200 on eBay.

I think theres one like the first pic laying in the 74. But its not going to be anygood.

I live so far out in the boonies, that night is about the only time I can pick up AM. Might be just an Eastern Washington thing. I vote for satellite radio.

The radio in a 73 240Z will not be the "correct" model for a 1970 240Z.

73 Z's came with an AM/FM Radio.

70 Z's camew with an AM Radio

(At least in USA anyway)

I will post a pic of it in the morning. The radio came in a box full of parts. I don't even know if it even belongs to the Zed. Sorry for giving false info. I shall smite thyself with this hammer! :stupid:

Just wondering, and not much help Lee,but is the stock am/fm 8 track in my '77 worth anything?
