I haven't even BOUGHT my 240z yet, but now I can't wait! I'll be doing all the upgrades in this list as well as the headlight harness as soon as I find the 'perfect' 240z I'm looking for!

How're things coming in the land of LED dashes and tail lights?

Cheers,

LWW

In a conscious effort to make all of the external signal lighting have the same brightness in the running light mode, so I have started with the dual signal lights first, when I get the balance between the two states right, the lower state will be made uniform for the rest of the lights, and be finished in short order.

That said, I have been working on the front combination lights, and I am still not satisfied with the situation. I am going to make a few more changes, and if they work out. send a series of pictures to Dave by the end of the week, followed at the first of next week by a pair of the lights for him to evaluate and return(the first pair is for my car!). If, after the remaining changes, they are still not up to snuff, I have yet another evil plan to make the combination lights conform to my idea of perfection, and I will start again. When these dual signal lights are completely sorted out, I will apply the same design to the tail lights, and they will get done much faster.

Like he said, It's a long slow process, especially when your as picky as we are. We want our final product to be up to everyones best expectations. The final product should be something that we will be proud to put our names on and you will be proud to put on your Z.

We are our own worst enemies when it comes to quality control. I personally think and hope Will feels the same when I say that "we are not so much in it for the money but rather the glory of having a line of items that we feel confident selling or distributing to people whom we've come to trust and help over the years"

We are doing our best to come up with a final product that will meet or exceed both ours and your expectations. We want them to be as classy as the original but up to date and a better product for our Z in the long run, especially if the product helps the car not melt, be seen and make it stand out in the crowd of cars from days gone by.

Remember, there are plenty of classic cars out there, and plenty of aftermarket parts for those cars. But how many chevy and ford owners can say that alot of the parts that really stand out were made for Z-car owners by Z-car owners? And not some company out to make a quick buck.

Please be patient, Rome was'nt built in a day and niether are good Z-car parts.

Dave.

Here are a few samples of things I'm working on

Carl,

The leds Dave is using are most definitely for illumination, they are the brightest leds available. We are using them for all of the lighting to be sure that we have consistant output. The only dissadvantage is that they have a narrowly focussed beam.

I have thought up alternative interior lighting that does not alter the interior panels of the car, when I finish the exterior lights, and have them on the way to Dave for his approval/critique, I will start on them. If my car isn't finished in time for the MSA meet, I will bring some of the lights with me to check out in one of the members cars.

Yes they do provide moe light...lots more light! I 've seen it first hand. It's cool

but it kind of reminds me of a early 80s disco. like really small spot lights.

but they sure look good.

No way! Not that set up...but this one maybe! Just remember...it can always be worse!
