Bad Dog Parts has been working on several new parts and before they are offered for sale, we need your help getting the fitment dialed in. For these parts we would ship a prototype to a willing Z owner who would trial fit it on their Z and report back to us any modifications or changes required to ensure they fit correctly. In return we would provide a free set for your efforts. Here is a list of our current prototypes: · 280ZX frame rails (coupe and 2+2) · 280Z frame rails for aftermarket floor pans · 280Z optional rear frame rails (for stock and aftermarket floors – similar in design to our optional 240 rears) Note: Pict…

Made up for a persistant friend (I don't normally take on custom jobs) with a 3" exhaust line, I wonder if there is any other interest out there ? The interior of the expansion box remains 2.5" with twin 2" exit pipes. To make the part cost-effective, I'd need a minimum of 20x orders. Also now available is my 'Hako' silencer (US$200 / CAD$270).

I've nearly finished one of my exhaust-parallel projects - 'new' 240Z steering wheels so time to share some photos. Once upon a time 50 years ago, all steering wheels were like new. Now they can be again and the perfect 50th anniversary gift for yourself and your car ! Completely stripped, spokes repainted and the the rim given several high-quality gloss coats, these will have new or refurbished horn mechanisms and centre pushes. They feel so lovely in ones' hands - a 'must' to finish your restorationand in a world where more and more people fit the black leather, competition replicas, be different and go old-school with the real thing ! Basic price w…

Hey guys, I just received a sample from Jeff over at Simply Cut Art. He builds neat art pieces for your wall and the workmanship is very well done. The art appears to be made out of laser cut wood that looks a lot like MDF in a medium brown color. From what I can tell, he takes three layers of flat stock and cuts the pieces to certain shapes. After cutting, the pieces are sandwiched together to give the art a 3D appearance. The art is then mounted on a white piece of cardstock with BRE style stripes and a mini sign indicating the series. Packaging was carefully done to protect the art during shipping and I give it a 5+... Although I only have the Datsun 2…

Hey guys, just thought I would share this with you. Some may remember I started a build back in 2009 (wowsers, long time ago...) of a 1:12 scale Tamiya 240ZG model kit. In the years between then and now, many changes were made, ideas blossomed...some faded....Fact is, I now have 4 of these kits with another ordered last night. ? 3 x 240ZG and a Safari 240Z. (Safari kit is what I ordered last night. The new kit will be for an attempt at a reasonably accurate version/copy of a 432R. Will be a lot of scratch building required to get the motor correct. Anyways, this is a version of the 240ZG which I have just completed. The motor is far from factory origin…

For sale is a set of 4 clips that hold the duct work to the backside of the hatch sheet metal and provide the location for the barrel clip that holds the vent grille on. Also known as a Tailgate Ventilator Clip. Please reference Nissan part# 90829-E4100 and the link below. These have been NLA for years and I discovered a personal need for a set. With the help of others I had a local sheet metal fabrication company produce a run of 100 clips which equals 25 sets. I needed a set myself and I am keeping an extra as a spare thus making 23 sets available. The clips are made of spring steel just like the originals and are clear zinc plated to protect against corrosion. E…

Bad Dog Parts began selling frame rails to Z owners who wanted something stronger to handle the added stress of more HP, autocrossing or track events. The 2016 father-son 240Z team that won their class in the grueling Beijing to Paris race did so with a set of front and optional rears installed by the late John Coffey, Stacey Davis on GearZ TV installed our 280 rails because he wanted the extra strength to handle the supercharged Ford V-8 he was installing and hundreds of Z owners from Alaska to Florida, Sweden to New Zealand, Canada to Norway and Australia to England now run on Bad Dog Parts. So on a long drive last week I began to wonder just how many sets of…
