Just got the word, and cuz I can't do it myself, I must rely on my local Z specialist. Floor pans, rails, and rocker panels all need replacing on my baby. I'm looking around 2K to replace all. Is this worth doing on a 30 year old car? Hard to say. I've had it 10 years, had just a ton of fun with it. I'm planning on having the work done. Just wanted to vent. Please remember, this amount is in Canuck bucks, so all you Yanks, half the amount before telling me I'm crazy.

Here they are! Y'all better get these. Cyber Monday $306 each plus shipping which isn't bad at all, $63 for both from Connecticut to Alabama. I got them so close I don't think a playing card could slip between the bumper and body. Both sides pulled in perfect too. Rear is next but I'm going to paint the tow hooks and need to get some stainless carriage bolts to put the 3 pieces together. Not going to use the old rusted ones. Thank You Dave Patten @ futofab.com.

I understand that the existing holes that the rubber side pieces currently mount to, will accept the mounting bolt for the side of the 240 bumpers front and rear. My question is what do you use to keep the bumper from scratching the paint? MSA list "bumper end shims" rear http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/CTGY/SBUC01B03 front http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/CTGY/SBUC01A08 Is this what I need? I'm trying to get what I need together as I'm getting ready to send my 240 bumpers off to chrome and I'm timing it so that I can get these mounted while prepping for paint and be ready for final mount once paint is done. I don't want to be scratching shiat up in the process.

I purchased the end-mount rubber insulators from Banzai for the rear bumper on my '71, but I seemed to have misplaced the bolts that attach the ends of rear bumper to the sides of the body. Does anyone know the correct size & length of these bolts? Thanks

Can anyone tell me if a NOS front bumper is still available from Nissan? I checked Courtesy today online. It appears from their site these are NLA. Anyone have a "SWAG" on the value of such a thing? That would be "scientific wild arse guess".

Hi Folks, I am hoping to get some help from the community on the restoration of my Series 1 rear bumper. The first question that i have is: Is the rear bumper from a '71 exactly the same as the rear bumper from a '73? ...size wise? ...are the bumperette's in the same position? ...are the brackets in the same position? Differences? Next, Does anyone have detailed measurements of a '71 Series 1 rear bumper with bumperettes and the rear bumper overbar? Pictures and measurements please? Thanks, Auzziez.

Does anyone know the purpose of this hole on the door jamb? Perhaps to let moisture evaporate out of the dog-leg area? Perhaps it should be plugged to keep water OUT of the dog-leg area? I just can't recall whether that hole was open or plugged back when I bought the car. Comments, suggestions ...

The car looked great when it got here, supposedly "rust free" and "dent free" and "running great," but this was not the case. I'm a little short on time, so I cant give a full explanation of all the things I found wrong with it, but I will post more when I get home later tonight. One of the things that concerned me the most was the deformation of the drivers side frame rail, so I am attaching that picture right now. What do you guys think about it? I havent bought it yet, and after seeing the condition of certain areas and the engine putting out blue smoke under load, I am inclined to send it back to california. The owner, one "Ray Toms" or "Jerold C. Rule" (I can't tel…

Here's a pic evolution of my '73 240z. Had it since 2012. Originally green, a recent paint and body has it looking great again. Check out the day I brought it home. The engine pic off craigslist. It's got a 280z 5spd with dual SU carbs. Some steel wheel orignals and a hood that fits... Another wheel upgrade and as clean as I could get it. Finally in for paint Getting stripped down 2013 Nissan GT-R Red Back in the garage with no dents, fresh paint, all chrome blacked out and some plastidip on the wheels. Caffeine and Octane in Alpharetta Still a lot more to do on the inside, brakes and engine. Very cool to be able to bring this one back to life…
