Hi, I've been looking into making my own tails lights, I know that they come up once in a while on Yahoo, but to be honest I can't be bothered, so I'm making my own. Since I have not done molds before, I've started small. I just poured the other half of the mold, so tomorrow I will know how it turned out. Nigel

Well Guys!!!!! fantastic news!!! my KPGC110 fibreglass replica grill and front/rear spoiler has touched down in sydney (THANKS SOOOOO MUCH MILES!), and i am just holding my breath until Australia Post delivers! when i get hold of them, i will take some photo's and then start arranging to get them sent off to a fibreglasser (probably the guy in melbourne) to make moulds. I am not sure if he will be doing the front grill (i assume it is going to be quite awkward), but maybe i should start getting a show of hands to who wants what, I am afraid that this guy may not get around to making the moulds for ages unless there is some interest, and i want to get them back sooner rath…

NEVER tell a panel beater to take his time. 23 months in the making. Now the fun part, puting it all back together So much more money to spend. Only problem with new paint is everything else has to be brought up to standard. Man I love my JDM tail lights PM me if you have a bonnet popping cable or some extractors. Thanks to my fellow ANZACS I already have a mint dash top from Melbourne.

Hi Guys, I have just started on the convertible again. I've added a couple of before and after shots of one of the rusty sills you can see some of the box section chassis she's had attached. I'm about to pay $1200 + GST to get all the rust I've cut out welded up, I'll be doing the major sanding work and priming of the car. A friends workshop will do the colour finishing coats for free but he doesn't want to know about the rust work. Do you think $1200 is reasonable? there is about 3 days of work for a panelbeater to do. I have the V8 and supra 5 speed ready to go in, a 300zx r230 lsd, brakes, suspension and cradle. Although at the moment I only have a R31 front crossm…

Hey all, as discussed I'm looking to get a buy organised for some fiberglass bonnets rather than getting them from www.restored.jp. We need a minimum of 6 bonnets to avoid the $1500 setup cost. They can also do carbon etc if you wish but I'd need to get costing on that at a later stage. Costing is approx $560 per hinged bonnet. Interstate shipping may be possible as the website says they ship Aus wide so I'm sure they can sort that out. I can give them your details and pass on the information for costing but I'm not interested in organising freight myself sorry as I'm a busy man http://www.motorsportfibreglass.com.au/products.php So..who's in? I will not be going ah…

sorry to go into this again but i just recieved an email from stewart Wilkins after i asked them about strengthening up the 240k. Basically he stated that the 240k body is already very strong, and doesn't need stitch welding along the suspension towers. He did recommend a roll cage (which we all expected) and a front strut brace. He said that if there was a weakness, it could be that the layers in the chassis rails may seperate, so that if the bottom seam was fused together it would enormously increase it's strength. now i am not 100% sure where he is talking about, can anyone give me a clue? I was looking at the rails in the engine bay (right under the firewall) on…

I spoke with John from Envirostrip this morning about sandblasting my shell. I wanted to know how much I would save by doing the job myself. He quoted me $2000 gst inc for a sandblast and primer of my shell. It appears I'm not saving much money at all by doing it myself and if I add in the cost of what I earn an hour plus my mates I'm actually losing money. I'm already at $1000 for primer, grit and petrol. All that's left is more petrol, food, beer and time. Average cost is $2000 to $2500 doing the stripping yourself, cost goes up a lot if he has to remove parts. To get this price the car had to be stripped and be just a rolling shell. John also blasts at low pressure 30…

Hi Guys, Well, it will soon be time for me to decide on a colour for my C110 GT-R lookalike.. I was pretty keen on either going with the S15 Silver (which apparently is very similar to the original GT-R silver colour), or to go with a darker metallic silver, Lexus Graphite (as seen on many IS200's).. i love that lexus graphite colour, and i think it would accentuate the black arches etc.. too.. but.... i just don't know... maybe it would look a little too dark (it does look grey in some light, a little black in others) Also.. i need a matching colour scheme for the engine bay (highlights on the RB25 head / intake plenum etc.) any suggestions? i was thinking gold or red a…

There is a bit of rust on my car. Just curious if any of you have heard of POR-15. I'm pretty sure it helps to prevent rust but does it actually get rid of it? I'm always afraid these products don't really work. https://www.autobodytoolmart.com/p-14093-17524.aspx
