Just givin people a heads up on people that buy stuff off yahoo. This seller http://openuser.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/user/sgbtrust has been selling stuff under false advertising. Claiming that it's GTR stuff when in only gt and so forth. I always look at his stuff and it never seems legit and he does alot of buying and reselling which is nothing bad but labelling wrong and making a profit is.

Not sure how many Datsun 240k/owners Nissan skyline owners check the events page but I wanted to share an event we are hosting. All US owners please come out & enjoy the event. I know there are a few Kenmeri's in southern California. http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/thread46183.html Thanks

Hi Guys, I’m new to the forum.. I’ve been browsing through the 240k content and there is some good stuff Looking for some advice / opinions on 240k Coupes.. I’m a Datsun fanatic and I’ve wanted one for a long time now… and I’ve found one.. Just not sure how much money is too much.. It will be around the 7k mark.. and has had all the rust cut out and replaced with new steel. Body is almost perfectly straight… will just require some final finishing on the body and then some paint. Its got the standard 2.4ltr engine with matching numbers & an auto trans.. apparently running but surely needing an overhaul. Interior is all there.. trims are good, seats need r…

Hello! I have a new problem today, namely a nut that won't come undone. The trouble is the bolt has been mangled and so the nut won't come off the end. Additionally, the bolt has been damaged and rotates pretty freely, so if I turn too hard the whole nut & bolt turns, instead of just the nut. I am happy to saw the entire thing off if that's my only option, as it is not essential. I don't know how though (not enough room for any kind of saw I know of). Please see the attached pics, can anyone help? :dead:

It's been quite a while since I last posted. I'm not even sure where to start, so a quick synopsis: I'm back home in San Diego, Ca now. As with many I had to deal with the change in the economy and unfortunately it had an impact on my car projects. Most of you guys know that the '73 was sold back in '07. It went to a shop in Utah and eventually was bought by Gabe at Techno Toy Tuning. My '71 was sold just before that and belongs to a good friend of mine in Central Ca. As you guys may remember, I moved out to Arizona in '06. Well, it didn't go exactly as planned. The job I took out there ended up being not exactly as advertised coupled with what I can only describe as the…

Hi guys I know we recieved 240KGT coupes early on, but has anyone seen or heard of GT sedans in Australia. I've seen these overseas, but not in Oz. Reason I ask is today I travelled out a bit and put money down on a supposed 240KGT 4 door sedan. Compliance please doesn't specify anything re GT, just 240K. Rear quarters have the usual GT badges in place of GL, door cards are embossed with 240KGT, dash is also embossed with Skyline instead of the usual Datsun on the top LHS. I suspect it may be a re-badged GL, but to get the dash and GT door cards wouldn't be easy in Australia. An import perhaps? Rear tail light panel & grille removed by someone earlier for the sought …

Hi guys, A while ago I had a custom boot made up for my car. They used the deteriorated one on the parts car as a template and reproduced it. Now it's not as good as a factory item, but it does the job and looks good enough. They made me two though as they took much longer than they said. One leather, one vinyl. I chose to use the vinyl one as to be more inconspicuous. So I have a leather one lying around. I thought maybe somebody would like it? I could chuck it up on ebay but I thought I'd offer here first. It cost me $60 (price of one) so I'd sell it for say half, $30. I've attached some pictures of it, as well as two showing what the vinyl boot looks like in my ca…

hi guys. as some of you may know, i've been searching for a coupe for a while, and so when one came up interstate on gumtree i called the man and talked to him about it. he told me that it didn't have much rust at all, interiors was immaculate, ran fine etc etc etc. all sounded well so i (stupidly) bought the car unseen. it took about two months for the car to get to me in adelaide from him in cairns for a number of reasons, but once it got here i was very disappointed to say the least. the car has a LOT more rust than he told me about. and the rust that he did tell me about is a lot worse than he made it out to sound. the interior is not 'immaculate'. it's nice but not c…

Don't give up on your K

Sometimes you can feel like giving up on your K. ANZAC day is approaching so I thought I would show my Ozzie brothers a kiwi K. Let me try to inspire the masses. This is a 240K I bought and sold for 2g. Look at the end result when left in the right hands (complete with minitubs.) Last I heard was he was offered a stupid amount of money from a buyer in Japan. It was put back together after paint in a couple of days, so missing some bits. This car was imported from Oz as it was a 240K GL and a sedan. NZ never got sedans.
