Guys, It's been a while since I last posted. I have been occupied with the day to day for a while now and have only recently had some free time. Anyhow, as most of you will recall, I bought the '73 K"P"GC110 last year. You all know the story behind it. For a while things never set quite right. I always knew that there was not just a possibility but a probability that the story was not legit. And that is exactly what I found. I decided to take a wire wheel and brake cleaner to the VIN stamp and guess what I found. Yep, K-H-GC110. So, in reality the car is an Aussie 240K. The "Nissan" I.D. plate under the hood? A photocopied fake glued to an aluminum plate. Gran…

Hi guys, For those not doing anything Sun 15th come to New Quay, Docklands, Vic for the Nissan Datsun Sports Owners Club show and shine between 9.30 and 3.00. Plenty of interesting early Skylines, Z's, Fairladys, Princes and 1600's. Sadly 240ks are a little thin on the ground at the club... I'm sure no-one would begrudge anyone considering joining the NDSOC parking their K (before 9.30) alongside the member's cars and getting to know the other members on the day. You'll find me with my C210 - short of me breaking it sometime in the next week. Hope to see some of you there. Cheers, Drew

Hi, I've been looking for a coupe now for a couple of years, with no luck, I missed out on one in Hobart (a 4 hour drive away), by been to slow ( a few hours from me talking to the seller, and him selling it to some one else), so I had almost given up, but I was talking to my brother the other week, and I mentioned I was after a coupe, yesterday I got a call from him, saying one of his 'mates' had a coupe for sale, So we went up to have a look today, It's been sitting for almost 9 years, in a car port. not a huge amount of rust, some on the left hand guard, a little under the bonnet, and on the r/h side of the bonnet, also some one have changed it from auto to manu…

I have been looking around for a new daily and came across this datsun. Its got a bit of rust and is not running so frist plan is to get it running then to fix the rust and respray. After that some new rims and daily fun for awhile. The who knows heaps of room for a RB30 or 2JZ. I will post up some better pics when it stops raining and shots of the problem areas. Brad

Hi Guys, i have finally had some spare time (mostly early hours of the morning) to spend getting my website up and running again. This time i am going for a Blog type affair with RSS feeds for those who want to keep an eye on how my project is slowly progressing! I have been battling with a few CMS systems over the past few years, but i think i have finally found one that is quite easy and quick to use.. it does mean that i need to rewrite all my stories, and create my galleries again though I am slowly trying to back fill the storyline, and it may take some time, but i will get there eventually! anyway, if you have a spare 5 minutes.. check it out www.project240k.com i a…

Sadly not 1 classic skyline showed up for the drive. We stopped a lot of people waiting to turn and leave their driveways on the cruise, which was quite funny, people were in fits of rage before they left their driveways. Most of us just smiled and waved. As you can see we ended up on a dirt road! I was glad of the dirt as it hid the fact that I, along with a few others hadn't bothered to wash our cars before the day. The only two cars on the drive that weren't skylines both ran into problems. One a gemini ute thingy (possibly not broken down but i'd bet $50 it was) and a 280zx which had overheated (possibly because it was worked off it's nut) as it crawled up …

Hi, I came across this, out of my daughters car magazine. http://www.spectrumrubber.com.au/Spectrum_Rubber_Catalogue.pdf It's go a lot of bits and bobs, like rubber windscreen seals (buy by the roll), body mold retainer clips, boot seals, lots of plastic clips, grommets. I though it may be useful Nigel
