Going to do a copy and paste to get up to speed with where it is today. Had been looking for a kenmeri datsun 240k coupe for the past couple of years with not too much luck few good ones but either too many $ or to much rust, I was always pretty against the sedan (yonmeri the 4 door version) However I had mentioned to a neighbour (who buys and sells alot of mid 90's cars and has a few mates that are towies for wreckers) next to 612 autoworks (part time workshop I run we do guard rolling for reasonable price too /end shameless self promo) to keep an eye out for a 240k for me, not a week later he tells me he has found one a 240 coupe, I couldn't believe my luck!!! Althoug…

Was digging through the cupboard tonight and found something I bought a few years ago . The red one is from early 70's which I will never build and bought white one because I wasn't going to build red one. Like them best in boxes so won't build either. Not sure why I bought them really. Anyone else got any cool models?

Hi to all on this great site. I came across Classic Z Cars a long time ago when I was looking for somewhere to talk to people about my 240k sedan but thought the K's weren't as welcome. Well it seems I was wrong, there is a lot of love here for the K which I discovered when a fellow OzDat member recommended I take another look. That member also has a 240k sedan and we both would love to know what our cars are worth in the Australian market.....they very rarely come up for sale on the net and evidence of prices paid is impossible to find. In the interest of disclosure and being honest, my particular car is one that I sort of inherited but have spent a few thousand doll…

After a good 6 months looking I finally found a 240k that is in a reasonable but requiring resto condition. During the search I was offered a 180b sss coupe with only 2 previous owners. As I cant say no I ended up buying it, then up came a 200b sss coupe in pieces for a small amount of money and I bought that. Then up came the 240k so now I have 3 cars all requiring resto works to various levels. Plans for the 240k are to fit the GTR style front and rear spoliers and flares. the front grille is a bit expensive with the funds I currently have so that may have to wait. May keep the engine as standard but with the 200b came a manual 240k box so may use this unless I go for a…

Hi everyone, I thought I'd share the build of my C110 coupé. A bit of a back story, I purchased a white coupé back in 2008 sight unseen (just pictures on eBay). While the car looked OK the listing wasn't completely truthful and the car was really rough and full of rust. It had been patched up very poorly and a lot of the rust was hidden. As I dismantled the car, the more parts I removed and the more filler I stripped, the bigger the problems were. Sure it was repairable but it was not the base I was looking for and it was too incomplete. The floor pan, around the windows and the sills etc were all rusted out so it was more than just your usual 240K rust.

hey guys Last weekend i bought a 76' 240k, (posted it in my ride section) Just got a few questions about some things i will get started on, as im new to the datto scene! now i know parts are going to be hard to come by, but so far from what i can see.. -2 front doors would be good to get hold of as these are rusted out. no big deal as im replacing other rusted out areas with new metal -the rear seat is badly torn at the top as well as front seats are ripped. (reupholstered?) -rear garnish left hand side chrome strip is needing to be replaced -i have got a set of twin SU's off what i beleive a 240z. are these worthy of putting on as the motor will be coming out and freshe…
