09-12-2008 07:23 PM If you haven’t been following the giant mudslinging contest known as the 2008 presidential campaign, consider yourself smart, as banging one’s head against a wall repeatedly does tend to kill off brain cells. However, we at JNC feel that its our duty to keep you informed, and at least one important fact has emerged from the current political season that we’re sure will prove vital when it comes time to elect our next leader: Cindy McCain, wife of candidate John McCain, not only owns a Nissan 240SX - which is totally foxy in and of itself - but she also takes it to the track. To drift. According to this ESPN article and video, the 54-year-old heires…

Press problems and in-house printer scheduling has thrown us off our regular schedule. When presses go down, back-ups happen. At best, we're looking at coming off press on June 3, 2005. It is still possible that the Fort Worth USPS will see the mag by end-of-day Friday. Most likely, it'll be Monday June 6, 2005. Looks like we'll miss our original mail date by 3 or 4 days. Our apologies.

Sorry for the last-minute notice, but the producers of a new Z car short film just contacted Nissan Sport about a free movie screening of their 30-minute flick “Sex, Love & Z-Parts.â€ To get in free, all you need to do is bring your Z. It will be shown on Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Arclight movie theater--the star of the show (the 280Z) will be parked out front. More details, including a link to their 280Z “Stuntâ€ trailer, are on www.nissansportmag.com BTW, the magazine is at the printer and the first copies will be off press this Thursday! The new Spring 2007 issue of Nissan Sport goes to press next week. Our lead feature is on Z owner Don Anderson, who owns arguably the most incredible collection of stock 240Zs you've ever seen (including our cover 240Z). I won't ruin story, but I'll give a few hints: toothbrush, undercarriage, 50 hours. And the best pictures ever taken of the 240Z. Period. Other S30 coverage includes a revisit of the 240Z rebuild program, tech Q&A on the 280Z, MacGyverish tricks to do on your early Z, new much-needed aftermarket parts for the S30, details on the amazing Zs from the Tokyo Auto Salonand (including one stunning 280Z), and more. 05-05-2009 11:30 AM As we predicted over a year ago, the Cash for Clunkers program offered by states such as California and Texas is going national. Congress and President Obama have come to an agreement on a national Cash for Clunkers bill. For one year, the government will offer vouchers worth up to $4,500 for owners to replace [...] {feed:content:encoded.} More...

As the EIC of Z Car Club Magazine (ZCCM), I would like to introduce you to a new publication devoted to the Z car. ZCCM, a bi-monthly magazine will cover three areas of the Z car community: cars, clubs, and events. This will include Z’s, 510’s, Roadsters and G’s with a heavy emphasis on the Z. There will also be the usual editorial content, including reader rides, parts, How-tos, DIYs, and project cars. This is a club-based magazine that encourages its members to be a part of the magazine by submitting feature write-ups on cars, projects, events, how-to’s and just about anything else they would like the Z community to see or hear about when it comes to their Z

Hey guys, so I just had a great interview with one of the writers for GQ Magazine and GQ Style Magazine out of New York. They are doing a 6-page spread about the Classic Z and it will be published around the August 2018 timeframe. We had a lot of fun on the phone and I talked about the classic Z and our club for most of the interview. We went into depth about why the Z is so great, and my final conclusion was community. If it wasn't for this car, this group, and all of the friends I've made along the way this car would be just another boring classic. Keep your eyes posted for updates as well as promotional material forthcoming over the next month. By the w…

Well, received my issue of Nissan Sport magazine and initial view is they did a great job! The picture of my wife and car are on page 20, much smaller than I thought, but it looks good! I also see that the 3rd place pic was in the "Insider" newsletter, very cool! I am digging the broad Nissan view - as an ex (and almost repeat) Maxima owner, I am passionate about their products, so there's some appeal beyond the Z for me.

10-29-2008 09:55 AM Oh Nissan, why do you toy with us so? Less than 12 hours since we posted a bunch of spy shots and speculative renderings about the upcoming 370Z, Nissan decides to unleash photos of the real thing. Maybe we can just claim we were ahead of the curve? Anyway, here it is, in all it’s naked, uncamouflaged glory. Check out those voluptuous fenders. Baby got back! Also, The 240Z C-pillars are an official go, although Jalopnik calls the design a BMW-copying “Hoffmeister Kink.” Grrrrrrr… Pics of the rear and interior after the jump. More...
