Finally got some 15x7 Konig wheels for my series one 240z. I have 14" 280zx wheels mounted with some Kelly 195/60-14 tires. I was looking at the 205/60-15 or a 205/55-15 for the new wheels. I am thinking the 225/50-15 is not much of advantage, since there is not that much out there in that size either...Any experience with current tire options? I even thought about a 195/60-15 Goodyear Eagle, but that might be too weird looking on the car? I know there is not much out there for performance tires, looks like just summer touring tires.... Any thoughts or advice is greatly appreciated. Excited to see the wheels on the car....

I've tried Auto-X three times but my car broke down due to vapor lock once and a damaged battery cable another time. I made it home eventually under my own power. This past weekend I got a successful 8 runs in at Dragway 42 near Cleveland, OH. The event took place in their parking lot which is a lawn area crisscrossed by pavement. This was their last event of the year so I'm making plans for my 260z's hibernation upgrades. One issue I'd like to address is rear tire grip. I've tried lowering my air pressure to 28.5 psi in the tires all around but my rear tires could still use a little more grip. I'm currently using Kumho Ecsta AST KU25 All-Season 225/50R15 91H …

As I’m searching for the correct wheels / hubcaps (12/70), does anyone know what month the style change (valve moved to slot and 41 tabs) was made? From what I’ve found they appear to change mid 70?

Hi all: I made the mistake of leaving my '77 parked with the parking brake for a few months. When I released the handle, I found that the shoes were stuck. I had planned to free them by driving the car once I got it running. But I need to get them freed up before that now. I tried disconnecting the cables, which did nothing. I don't see any access to the interior to adjust or move anything. What have you tried that works? I did pick up a spare pair of aluminum drums. So if I have to cut them off, I will. But I'm hoping for a trick that gets them freed nondestructively. Thanks in advance.

I am having the hardest time finding somewhere to order a set of wheels for a heavily modified s30 I am working on now. I should end up needing something like 16x10 fronts 16x11 rears with a crazy negative offset. I can barely find anything in a 16" wheel that's offered in a custom 3 piece. 17's would work I think but I really wanted a little more beefy tire. Is there some source for 3 piece wheels everyone knows about but doesn't come up in a google search??

I really suspect this is not a new topic, but I’m looking for new ones of these. I know they won’t come with the fancy Z stickers. We have a solution for that. Any leads? I’ve been searching and searching to no avail.

from what i see on youtube i am supposed to turn the little nut on the end to extend it out (its not long enough). Can someone confirm this is correct. I put vice grips on it and the wrench wont budge it....it could be its frozen up, just nervous to put too much force. I have broken things previously doing that 🙂

Hi all! I have these on my 240 and was hoping for some advice on cleaning these wheels. I would hate to ruin them by using the wrong cleaner. Some say Simple Green, others say a harsher chemical. Some say steel wool. Any advise is appreciated! Thanks!! Bill

I'm getting ready to paint my original wheels on my 1972 (12/71) Zcar. wondering if there is a specific color (in the interest of originality) or should i just go with what appears to be a medium to dark grey. any help is appreciated.

One of the jobs to be done on this car is get the parking hand brake working, I got under the car but something didn't look right, took off the drum and it all became clear. Not only was everything upside down, everything was switched side to side. In order to fix it both struts had to come out, press out the axle hub (new nuts required) and switch the backing plates.
