My car came with 1/4" spacers behind the steel wheels when I bought it. I took them off and have been driving without any issues. After putting Konig Rewinds on then driving around in tight circles there was no rubbing so I put the spacers on the rears, looks a little better to me. With the acorn lugs there was plenty of threads left to tighten the wheels down. Is there any potential problems running the spacers on the rears? Thanks for any advice or experiences doing this. Cliff

I dont have mine here with me there at work so: lugnuts, I dont remember seeing the hole taper to let a lugnut slide in and grab, do they tighten to the outside of the rim? I forgot, my lugnuts set wide of the rim and would have scratched if I mounted, I found my old wheel lock would have contacted the very inside edge so is that the way they mount, the lugnut not going in the hole of the rim at all, sratching the outside when torqued down? Also anyone know the torque for the wheels? Thanks

First I started going through replacement brake lights, the last one only lasting a week. Now the brake lights won't come on at all. The running lights are fine, as are the other lights. Any ideas?

so I just bought these... Nice and shiny, the style I wanted, etc. I didn't care that they for some reason say "Datsun" on the centers rather than Z, my guess is that it's a sticker or some sort, perhaps someone was using them on a 510 and didn't want them saying Z? Or was this style cap on multiple Datsun cars from the beginning? They claim to be 14" in any case, and looked great to me so... Sorry if my curiosity is bothering anyone anyway. But anyone heard of the daisy type caps without a Z?

I'm puzzled by these tabs that run along the back edges of the rear brake panel of a '70. They are rusted out so kind of hard to tell what they are. I don't have them on my stock '72. Forget my '71, it's been modified with disc brakes. Does anyone know exactly what these tabs are for and what they actually look like? I've searched for images with no luck.

Hi All! I am realizing that my brakes have never been right in the two years of owning my Z. I have only put a few hundred miles on her as I go through the bits and pieces, so it has not been a big issue. Now, things are running good and solid and I MUST get the brakes right! Can anyone direct me as to the "correct" or "preferred" replacements? Not necessarily looking for originals, unless they are still avail. at a reasonable price. Do I just go to the local NAPA and buy what they have available? Thanks again, guys, for any help you may have for me!!!! Regards, Astrohog

The car has always weak brakes. The Booster appears to be working. Just replaced MC and booster hoses and check valve, new fluid and bled lines. Still poor braking. A mechanic who has lots of experience with 240's is urging me to replace the stock front 2-piston calipers with 4-piston. He says they will most likely dramatically improve braking on the car. Has anyone used the Motorsports 4-piston brake upgrade kit(about $400)? Another option I'm considering would be to go in an completely rebuild both of the stock front disc brakes(new calipers pads etc), but the same machanic feels that would be waste of money, saying they are working fine. My dad bought this car new, an…

I got a set of MTI TE37 knockoff wheels but they wont fit over the hub/spline in the front. I tried measuring and it looks like it's about 60MM on the wheels I have on the car now, does anyone know for sure what the measurement is?
