Lets be completely clear, yes, I love my panasports. They are perfect in every way (Guy looking at you bud! ), but sometimes you just want something different for a while. Can you have too many swiss watches? Can you have too many .45 caliber Firearms? Is it possible to have too many vintage cars? I say no too those and many other questions like...No honey I have not had enough cookies today. So I could no longer resist the temptation of the satin black konig rewinds sold by MSA for 479 shipped. So badda bing one click later they are on the way. Lets talk tires. Recall I have tried three different sized on my 15x7 wheels up to this point. 205/60/15 w…

Just doing my usual eBay check for some Panasport caps that aren't the $14 each they want from the Z Store and came across these 15x7 Konig Rewinds. I checked these out in 14" before I got a set of nice, but used 15x7 Panasports. If they go for the "Buy-It_Now" that would be a decent price, and doesn't look like they try to gouge you on shipping either. I don't know how much they weigh, but they're a nice look -- somewhat different than the Panasport/Minilite/Watanabe, but much the same. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7946988193&category=43955&sspagename=WDVW Oh yeah: Anyone have some nice used Panasport caps gather…

Hi all, I guess it's time for the next project on my '78. My brake light kindly came on to let me know that. I checked my reservoirs, and the smaller one was right at the low-mark. I topped it off, and the light went out. However, I know that doesn't fix it. I'm guessing the smaller reservoir is for the rear brakes, right? I haven't done a lick of work to the brakes in the time I've owned the car. Now seems like the time to go through it from front to back, refreshing/refurbing/replacing everything. However, this is my DD, so before I launch into this project, I want to have all supplies on hand. (I do have another car to go to the parts store if necessary.) …

As you probably read on my exhaust thread, I'm going bullistic on this rebuild. The 260Z is a 2/74' or Early 260Z. I plan on doing a thread for each of the highly involved mods, upgrades, improvements or projects inside the build. So this one is on my brake upgrades. I always hate looking deep inside 20 threads with 20 plus pages to find info on a particular upgrade that I'm interested in. So this one will have nothing but my brake upgrades, parts, prices, pictures and info. So here we go..... On the FRONT Brakes. I chose to go with the 1985 Toyota 4X4 Non-Vented rotor, 4 Piston Calipers, The part number on the calipers is S12-8. They are a direct bolt on using the sto…

Hello, I show you my 240Z got old bridgestone 6.45H14. This is not origanal, but you can see the 1969 240Z in press photo got same size tires. Also there is a discription in Nov.1969 HLS30 parts catalog "tire is 6.45 H14" and also we can see that size in owners manual and service manual with 175SR14 and 175HR 14.I know 175 SR14 is original for my march 1970 240Z. Very careful looking, press photo shows "BRIDGESTONE SUPER SPEED 2"for it's tire. And another press photo I can see "6.45H14"on it's tire. My tire is "SKYWAY-H"so this is different. But looks like press photo tire,I like this old bridgestone logo. Any comment please, thank you. kats

I am blown away by the quality and engineering that went into this Zcargarage BBK (big brake kit) The kit was designed by stoptech engineers and Zcargarage from the ground up for the Z. I am sort of a guinea pig to see if consumers can install this kit. They have amazing detailed 40 page instructions. Which in the car world is rare. I’m stoked to get them installed. Kit comes with everything needed to install and retains stock parking brake and MC. Fits 15x8 wheels as well! So light!

Sometimes I just want to scream when I hear the word 'upgrade' thrown around when it comes to cars. 'I upgraded my brakes with Toyota 4Runner calipers" GAG! No you didn't they're a hell of a lot more unsprung weight and you didn't change the rotor to a vented rotor to get the heat out. Now this is an upgrade!

Hi, I am new to the site. I have a 1971 240z and would like to put new wheels on it. I'm looking to get Rota RB's but I am not sure what will be the right size because I do not want to roll the fenders or need any type of spacers. I need something that will plug and play stock, preferably 16" rims and will the front center cap fit the rim when mounted. Aslo if you guys can tell me what size tires to run with the setup. Thanks !!

Alright guys, I know it's been a while since I've posted on here -- I usually just cruise the 'search' function for useful info , but I'm really scratching my head at my car right now. I have absolutely no braking power in the thing, and I've replaced every part I can think of. It's a completely stock setup, now with brand new: wheel cylinders at the back (w/ new shoes) master cylinder brake calipers (with new pads) I replaced all the rubber brake hoses a few years ago, and I put a new power brake booster on a number of years ago as well. There are no visible leaks anywhere in the system, and it bleeds cleanly... what am I missing??? ... and the whole thing is acting like…
