I'm getting pretty tiad of searching and nothing have come up so far. This is the lazy way of finding out and since i don't want to pull my seats now i'm asking around. Do the -73 seats have springs and not webbing, i put my hand under the seats and it feels like it have springs, i like to get the seats tightened up a bit, i'm getting pretty tiad of driving around feeling that my arse:ermm: is right over the floor pans, any hints on how to do this, can it be done. Chris

Quick question is white interior rare ? I have a 72.. that has a white headliner and white vinyl. and every other panels are black. Did they come that way or has someone changed it around over the years. Any help on this would help.

The seats in my 240 were done!! so I got anothers set of re-upolstered seats from a guy put them together and installed them, they came out great except that the space between the seat cushion (where your butt goes) and the back support is about 1-1 1/2". This isn't too bad but, this is my 3rd 240 and I can't recall seeing a gap this big! Did Datsun make 2 different length connection brackets (what are those metal pieces called that hold the seats together??) Is there some other threaded holes on the sides of the seats that I missed??

'71 Hatch Strut 1 2

Is this a normal hatch strut for an early '71 model? It has a "leg" on it that holds the hatch open and you have to lift it up to close the hatch. This just seams strange to me, the strut should be all that holds the hatch open...but then again there is only one strut and this hatch is heavy.

Hey all, I just looked at a '71, and I noticed that on the passenger side just above your feet, there is a triangular shaped, looks stock, has the housing, heater core??? I have never seen this, anyone have any ideas? Thanks, Brian

Hi All! I just did a search for this and all I came up with was a thread from 2003 that pretty much said "good luck finding a single hatch strut" I have tried a strut from a 280Z that had two struts, and of course, it was not strong enough. My single strut is not strong enough to hold the hatch up and I really would like a new one. I am hoping that between 2003 and now that there is a source for these. Anybody point me in the right direction? Regards, Jeff

Hello everyone. I am about 90% complete with the placement of the wiring and switches on the dash. I was having a real problem with the cigg lighter and hazard switch installation. I don't know what happened before me, but this bracket is all out of alignment. Does anyone have a photo by any chance of the bracket unbent? It took me a while to try and align it, but only to have either the hazard out of alignment or the cigg lighter out of alignment. Also looks like someone stretched out the holes on the dash for the hazard/cigg lighter. Can I somehow fill this in with a plastic filler? Thanks for your help!

I am in the process of putting back the original radio in my '72. There is a fuse connector (blue wire) with the 2 white/white & black that I beleive are the speaker wires. The fuse connector is almost 3 inches long, could someone tell me what kind of fuse goes in there.
