This is a little different. Datsun 1200 drag car. My friend John Wayland here in Portland Oregon has built a drag car that is all electric. He has been building and racing this car for over 5 years. There has been a Ton of innovation involved , since most everything needed to be invented to make it work and do what it does. Since it is a Datsun I thought some here would be interested in new things on the track. How about 250 mile range. Last Friday he set the World Record for a Street legal electric car. 121.04 with a ET of 10.4 !! And they are still working out the bugs.

Hi Guys, I was hoping to develop some sort of definitive list of parts easily used from other makes of cars to upgrade perished or out of date Z systems (not including motors) I have noticed a lot of mention with various mazda and honda parts, so if we coallate all this info in one spot I think it will be a very useful resource. Items that spring to mind are: Radiators Air Conditioning Systems Heater Assemblies Blower motors Power steering racks Fuel tanks Feel free to add more based on your own experience Please try to be MAKE, MODEL and YEAR specific and include a short summary of what modifications if any are required. Thanks guys. *************************************…

Hey I am looking at adding a BRE spook to my 280Z. Yes a little different. I am a little concerned of what it may look like, but either way I am considering buying one and trying it from a group called Futo Fab. Does anyone know anything about them? Does anyone have any experience with their work? I have contacted them and seems ok, but I wanted to check with all of you that have years of experiences. I wanted a nice quality carbon fiber front spook and MSA and showcars have had some not so positive reviews. Please let me know anything you can about them. The price seems good and here is the link of their work on a 510 spook spoiler: http://datsun510.com/photopost/showgal…

Hey everyone. Has anyone bought these seats for their Z? If so where did you buy them? How do you like the way they feel? Are they hard to install? MSA has them, but I would like to find the cheaper if I could (duh) http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/PIC05/50-4004

Well, last night I slid the engine and 5 spd trans (from my 85 635) into the Z. It almosts fits without alterations. The hood lies on the distributor and the intake plenum, so I need to figure out how to get the front down a couple of inches as it sits or move it all back 2 or 3 inches so it will drop down an inch or so. I see options right now of trying to lower the Z steering rack, exploring cutting into the oil pan to remove a few inches across the lower front, or cutting into the firewall. There may be other solutions such as changing the hood, but those are the most obvious. Lowering the rack poses a small problem with the steering shaft universal joint and the …
