Great memory, Cliff, but not that one. The Sheik that bought it and had it shipped to Dubai UAE, never sent photos of it restored. He did have about a dozen restored Z's at that time, including a 432, photos are lost though. For those wondering: It was a blue/blue December 1969 door tag, HLS30-00110. The whole car and interior was painted black, then upon further examination found the blue interior. This was before the low VIN craze caught on here, it was June 2010, but was happy with what I got for it at that time. Bonzi Lon

From information I collected years ago: The E46 were on the 69-71 four screw SU's. The E88 were on the 72 three screw SU's (water passage at the bottom). The N33 were on the 73 flat tops. The N36 were on the 74 flat tops. Like I said this is from maybe 2010 and some variations may apply. It was my understanding the N36 were the best flowing of all of them. Bonzi Lon

I just checked my 68 Roadster and found out it has the "GARAGE" stamped on the ignition switch, except it is between the "ACC" and the "ON" position. The key is located on the left side of the steering wheel. Bonzi Lon

Just a reminder, you don't want it sitting too high, because the positive battery post needs to slide under the inspection lid and the support metal under the lid. There is not much room for that to happen. Bonzi Lon

Just went out and measured my 73. The way you have it sitting it needs to be 7 7/8" off the frame rail, close as I could get. The distance from the firewall is 7/8" measured at the front on the flat part, and also 7/8" measured on the square bump out, it appears the tray is at a slight angle for that to happen. Maybe CanTechZ can/should verify my measurements. Hope this helps. Bonzi Lon

You're in luck. I got a new one with a car and lots of parts back in 05. Put it in the parts bin and forgot about it until your wanted post. I think is it a repo and not OEM, as it does not have as much backing as the one Terrapin Z posted above. However it is new, no glue stains, diamond pattern, and Black. I had no use for it as my car has the beautiful off white interior. :) Bonzi Lon

Here us what I think. The posts have a metal barrel clip to hold it in the hole. The emblem on the deck is fully plastic. When I refurbished all my emblems, some of the barrel clips stayed on the post, the other posts broke off. All of the emblems on my car were plastic except the round side quarter emblems. They are made of a 'pot' type metal that a magnet will not stick to. It is also subject to corrosion faster than other metals, the ones on my 73 were very rough and pitted. The steel in the barrel clips will attract a magnet. There is probably rust holding the barrel clips on the posts like they were on mine. Hope this helps. Bonzi Lon
