Great information. Do you still have the lower shift lever in your photo. I would like find one. Actually I would take both if you have them.

I'm sure I do, I hoard parts but that is of no use to me so I'd let it go.  Now finding it, that's a whole different can of worms!  I have a storage building I just cram stuff into but I'll look later today and see if I can put hands on it and let you know.

Here's a good read related to what we're talking about.  He get's to the shifters about mid page.

I've found it, pretty quick to! It has some pitting of the chrome but I'll "pay it forward" if you'll pay shipping charges. Will have more time Saturday to discuss but it's your's if you want it.

EDIT: it's still Friday, you can have this if you want it.  You pay shipping from 35901.

I'll carry it to fed-ex Monday, hopefully we can do a "postage paid on delivery" type thing?  You won't owe me anything.  I'll get back with you Monday via e-mail.

I'm about to go warm the Earth and bruise some bugs with my  240. :)

Sending out props to Siteunseen for a "pay it forward". He provided a shifter lever we need for a Auto to Manual conversion that Joe Newsom is working on. Our goal is to manipulate it so a 5speed can be used with  a series 1 center console. More to follow... Currently waiting for joe to test fit the shift lever to his transmission then return it before

I think it's gonna look like this...

interesting pic, I know the ZX shifter is a lot shorter than the Z to start with, those extra bends would make it sit even lower. Would like to see what it looks like installed.
