New Fujitsubo Exhaust System to be Released

Recommended Posts

Very nice piece of kit, but the dual exhaust pipe run doesn't add anything except excess weight.  A properly sized single run seems much more sensible.  I question whether that header would clear the LHD steering rack.

I have no idea. I was just jokingly poking the nest and trying to stir up trouble between dissenting exhaust system manufacturers camps.   :P

Dual system is just a waste . All that extra weight and the extra noise . All the pages of data I've read show without question that single exhaust is the best for power .

Paid $1805.00 with shipping in October of 2016 shipped from Japan to United States. Headers fit great and clear left hand drive steering rack no problem but twice pipe exhaust was a poor fit on a 75 280. Had to have a shop cut and re fit exhaust to fit.
In hind sight for that kind of money I would recomend ....spend a little more and run kameari header / exhaust or save some money and use Sean's exhaust....zstory

Where was the poor fit ? Trans tunnel? Looks tight and maybe better suited for earlier models

A 280Z trans tunnel is much wider than that of earlier models ! Mine here on a 280Z 2 seater.

I'm not dissenting , just always curious to see and hear of other choices - still a big advantage buying from me is that.....I'm here - you can talk, ask questions, get measurements (get replacement parts if needed) - gotta be better than buying blind from a 'but it now' site !

I can attest to Sean helping decide what buy that fit my car and use. Plus answered all my questions quickly. Hoping the weather holds in Seattle so I can move the car from storage to the shop. Need to install my system plus pull the bumpers to get re chromed

Any ballpark figures* on what shipping is like with the Zstory system to North America?  Header alone and header with exhaust system?

* estimation on cost

Zer ingleez-man comprendo 'ball-park figure' :D

Full Race or Race Sport Header (and a muffler inside if chosen because it's in the same weight and volume band) = $175

Full Race or Race Sport Header and line = $215

Street Sport Header (and a muffler inside if chosen because it's in the same weight and volume band) = $145

Street Sport Header and line = $190

For those who've paid more before - I've been hunting for ages to get better deals and its finally paid off.

Pop back to 1969 and tell Nissan what a big mistake they are making...

Will you tell them that it wasn't only the Z432 that had the twin exhaust line but L-gatas too ? Nice snippet of info I learnt from you - cheers.

That is both tires chirping by the way:)

i have fun with this subject because I caught a lot of crap for doing all the work making duals . Everyone had an opinion but no hard data on what exhaust is better. To me, there's no comparison as far as sound , but that's my opinion and taste . I'd do it again

In regards to fitment....twice pipes fit really well in transmission tunnel but ran smack into differential flange. Had to cut and re angle pipes towards drivers side .... under factory exhaust cut out in differential mount/crossmember. And obviously a little lower too.
Was installed by a reputable shop that only works on z cars. Was a 240z (earlier model) at shop that also had same problem... ....
