My Datsun 280Z "Rustoration"

Today I got my car into the shop to install some paint protection film aka "clear bra". This is what I do for a living so it was fun to finally be able to do my Z! No need to worry about rock chips. I wrapped the entire hood, full fenders, air dam, and rockers.

Heres a shot of a Ferrari 458 Speciale we did today too

wow - amazing how that film goes from looking like a shower curtain to invisible! nice work.

looking forward to hearing how the suspension feels. have you put many miles on the stock setup for a decent baseline comparison?

I've only driven it for a few miles. The suspension feels pretty good though, should be interesting to feel the difference. I will hopefully start putting them in next week.

Jones'n to know how these work out as well! I really want to go the same route, but would love for someone else to be the Guinea pig! You planning on welding them yourself?

I would have to find a local shop or dood to do this for me.

I will try the first one to see how it goes. If im not comfortable with it I will have a shop do it.

Big update!

The car is about 90% done. I still have some random odds and ends to finish up but other than that its mostly complete.  :D

Its been a long and busy 1 and 1/2 years.

Last week I got the exhaust installed. I went with 2.5" mandrel bent 304 stainless into a Borla sport muffler and a polished slant tip. It turned out really nice and sounds great.
