With the cooperation of Many people on classic Zcars.com, I have put together a couple of links that even the most novice skilled people can use to make, build or even repair a "headlight relay harness"

The link above has all the info on one site, the following links are the same but seperated for details that may have been lost in the process.

The complete wiring diagram that may be enlarged using the "expand" button on the lower right side of the picture.

Below is the link to the beginning of the instructions before pictures were added to minimize the pages.

This is the link to the pictures that go with the instruction above. It's in "PDF" form.

This is the instructions without the complete harness diagram at the bottom.

This is a link to "Daves possible parking light fix" forum that I'm working on

Do what you will with the info above but it's everything I have at the moment. I WILL add to the instructions as soon as I get a chance.

Dave.

Thanks... Dave. I just came in from the garage were I was starting to sort through the wiring to re-install since pulling it out for the restoration.

Sheesh.. Looks like fun.

I am going to make these. Makes no sense not to since I am doing a complete resto/mod.

Thanks for all your effort.

Consider this a vote to sticky the thread. You are a hero, man! Awesome job =)

I will be wiring these up myself. Should I expect to see a lighting improvement by virtue of making and installing the harnesses, or does this just allow me to easily install better lights? And if anyone wants to throw out a recommendation for some reasonably priced headlamps, please feel free.

No doubt, this would be excellent for tech articles. I wonder how we can convert the DOC file to HTML efficiently. Or, you can simply post the DOC to the thread so that it's pulled into the database (rather than a link to an outside site). I would like to see this one last forever.... it's such a good job! Actually, I can sticky this one...

I will be out most of this week on business travel but will be happy to convert it to HTML upon my return, as well as host the associated images if need be. However, I think it makes more sense to host it all on this site in one place. I hosted it on my site to avoid the multiple posts for each update. I already tried a saving it to HTML from Word and it looked like crap so I'm going to have to do some hand editing. When done I can send it in a zip file if you have some way of hosting the images and displaying them inline.

If your looking for confirmation on the improvements to your stock headlight power and output go to http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=14897&page=10

Look around and you'll find a couple of happy, compliment giving, satisfied people. Improved headlight output, Able to upgrade to hi power headlights without worry to the stock system, ease of instal, great precautionary measure towards the safety of your stock electrical switches and fuse box.

You should be happy with the results, Just take your time and don't skimp on the materials.
