What wheels should I buy? So, my oversized Boyd's (shown) are just too much for me. I'm planning to get new wheels and tires to fit the car. I have money and this time it's for real.
What do you recommend? I'll take a look at some of the older posts but any new replies are welcome. I've been looking at both Panasport and Konig Rewinds. I had the Konig light silver on the car for one of our local shows here in Portland and they looked great. Panasports would be perfect too. But are there any other opinions out there? How about JDM wheels from Japan?

Hi Mike,
How about some Rota RBs? I have a set in 15X7 with some Bridgestone Grid 109s. I really like the way they look and the tires' performance is great.

Here are my Konig Rewinds in a 16" X 7" with BFG g-Force Sport in a 205/55 X 16. My car is lowered with Mulholland springs, so this set-up fills the wheel wells nicely. The open spoke design allows painted calipers to show off. The Rota RB's and Panasports are excellent alternatives for a similar look.

Mike, that is a truly awesome yellow car! My tire size selection matches the 25" diameter of the original 175x14's, so - in my case it is probably the lowering that is providing the fill-effect.

One of the guys I met over the weekend told me that if you are a member of NASA ($50.00. membership) they have a special on the Rewinds for $260.00 for the set. Made me wish I needed wheels.

Zedy, this is an awesome photo! What camera specs were you using to take that ?
As far as the wheels, I like the VTO's they look very well placed on your car. Any shots of the car with the Panasports?

Scroll down to the Konig link and then keep looking down the page.

The Konig program is a sponsorship for race cars. Requires NASA membership (they mention that your membership status will be verified), and photo documentation of said race car complete with Konig decals. There's a lot more fine print as well, but for people who don't have a real race car, probably not going to happen.

Wheels are really all about personal choice. I did start what I thought was a really cool thread some time ago describing what is currently available for s30's but for some reason no one really seemed to care much or even thank me for taking the time to do it so I did not bother keeping it up. Just go with what style you like and if you need help with fitment there are many people on here who can help.

I like the 15" lemans, because they are more unique. That said, I really love my 15" Panasports...

I personally don't like the all silver Konigs or Panasports on a yellow car. If you want either of them, I would recommend getting the gunmetal spokes. You could of course always go with the 15" A/E Sprint wheels like I have on my car, I am really happy with the look:

First pic is after new springs, so sitting a little high which throws off the look a bit, second pic on the lift is after they have settled a bit

Johnnyt, nice post! I never saw it before. I think it's good enough to use as a technical article, congrats! Take a look in the articles section, here's the new link: http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/c...your-favourite
I was wondering, can you also add some of the other popular wheels, such as the Panasports and the Konig Rewinds? Thanks!

Mike, thank you for the kind words. I am currently busy taking a course but I will try to find some time to start updating it again. The reason why I did not include the Panasports and Rewinds in my initial post was due to the fact that I was only looking at newer (within the year wheel options). In hindsight, it was probably better to include any wheel that is available at a retailer or online for purchase.
