Reptoid Overlords Posted February 10, 2017 Share #1 Posted February 10, 2017 1980 280ZX N/AStock exhaust manifold. When deleting EGR, is it nessicary/advised or not recommended to remove and plug the EAI system introducing air into the forward part of the stock exhaust manifold? JSM Posted February 10, 2017 Share #2 Posted February 10, 2017 If you mean the Air Induction pipe that is attached to the exhaust manifold the answer is yes. Loosen the nut securing the pipe to the exhaust manifold and at the same time remove the screws securing the bracket and rubber hose clamp. The Air Induction pipe can then be taken out. Reptoid Overlords Posted February 15, 2017 Author Share #4 Posted February 15, 2017 I was wondering if you had any recommendations for headers that are an exact fit to the stock pipe. I have an exhaust leak after installing a new intake/exhaust manifold gasket.I've heat cycled and re torqued 3x. Figured since I have to take it apart again I might as well put headers.U87 stock manifold. siteunseen Posted February 15, 2017 Share #5 Posted February 15, 2017 MSA's headers attach to stock with an adapter and they are nice headers, made specifically for our cars. http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/CTGY/classic19
