Anyone for "Running On Empty" by Jackson Browne? (Sample lyrics below)

Dennis

Looking out at the road rushing under my wheels

Looking back at the years gone by like so many summer fields

In sixty-five I was seventeen and running up one-o-one

I don't know where I'm running now, I'm just running on

Running on - running on empty

Running on - running blind

Running on - running into the sun

But I'm running behind

Gotta do what you can just to keep your love alive

Trying not to confuse it with what you do to survive

In sixty-nine I was twenty-one and I called the road my own

I don't know when that road turned onto the road I'm on

"You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet" -Bachman-Turner Overdrive.

-This was the first song my dad heard in his original 260Z when he pulled off the dealer lot in 1974. The day we finnished work on his replacement 260Z in 2005 it was on the radio. And the day I drove my Z home, it was on, so that makes it our Z driving song.

I only had 15 slots to fill, and had them done before I entered the new thread!

There is some good stuff in here! some of them I am not familiar with, and a link or an mp3 would be appreciated-thanks JMortensen!

Will

PS when I refinished my first Z, the 76 2+2 in my album, "Addicted to Love" (Robert Palmer-and those "simply irresistible band members) was on the charts(MTV), and my car was washed with it as often as possible!

The best music is the sound of a great exhaust system. If I have the radio on - Donna Summer's - I Feel Love. There is one by Booker T and the MG's I like to drive to also, but cannot remember the name (must be old age - blame everything on it)
