Mowed mine and my neighbors yards. Let the 2 sleeping Zs idle in the garage for an hour, accidentally too! I forgot about them until I got my blower.

I know it's a car club but I'm a Southerner. When it gets cold we stay inside. This makes me smile. I made it out of an old stain glass wine stopper and a vase I bought at a yard sale. Inside down time is hard for me. I hope you others are not suffering "cabin fever". It's a tough problem for compulsive people like me. Bengals by 10.

After weeks of rain we are finally getting some somewhat dry days (discounting Florida-quality humidity) and I can get a bit of painting done. Two sets of tail light panels got their first coat of Dark Shadow Gray today. One set is targeted for my ride to swap out the satin black set on it as part of the resto, the other set will hit the classifieds when complete. A grill to swap has been completed for some time.

The Z Proto wrapped up a three-day visit in Dallas today. I had recently posted on the Nissan USA Facebook page about our 50th anniversary and they reached out to me with an invite to see the Z Proto. What followed was an unexpected photo and interview session where they posed my car next to the new Z. The new Z is a sleek and stylish car with none of the faux vents, overwrought bulges and creases, or chrome embellishments; the interior is exceptionally comfortable and well done. The Nissan team was very welcoming and showed a genuine interest in my car. I expect to get copies of the photos taken by the pros in the coming weeks.

I pulled this nest of inspection lights out of the garage attic stash yesterday. By moving quickly, I was able to get them de-fanged before any harm was done! ?

Thought I would share this interesting Z car I have been working on to help the owner out for the last few months. It is proudly owned by a very nice, very enthusiastic older woman 100+ miles away. I brought it up to my location in an enclosed trailer with the generous help of a good friend. It has not been running for over a year and in addition, she has had some bad experiences with some shops which took advantage of her with little results. She was referred to me by one of her relatives that lives in my area and I made the trip down her way to look it over, meet her and her husband and then agreed to bring it up to my garage. When I first talked with Joyce…

I built my workbench over 30 years ago and put the deck height at 42" just to make work and tools a bit easier to get to. A few years ago I gave up some of the length to make room for a shelving unit. Of course this also reduced available space for tool storage, resulting in stuff stored in different spots around the garage. Further complicating things is that I keep three cars stored in a slightly oversized 2-car garage so floor space is already at a premium. I recently spotted a mobile workbench at Home Depot and took note of the dimensions. Checking under my bench I realized I fortuitously had the EXACT right sized opening for the unit. All I had to do was clear …
