No parts store around here has Fram G2 filters at the moment. I found some off brand knockoffs at them but no Frams. I bought from o'Reilly's "Micro" something or another. The OE fuel filter looks good and was only $5 but the G2 that I use coming out of the fuel tank was a off, the 5/16" barb went down to an 1/8" hole on the out side. The in barb is 5/16". My thinking is to gently open the small hole by slowly turning a drill bit while blowing through to keep the shavings out of the filter. No big deal but was curious if anyone else ran into to this. That "supply chain" excuse is worn out and this is just poor adherence to specifications in my opinion. Ju…

This weekend hasn't been a great one for me. The wife and I decided a little while back that the last car ride for the last of our dogs would be tomorrow. Given all of the dogs passed relatively close together and not long after my mother-in-law has made it just that much harder. So yesterday I was cleaning up the wagon for the ride to the vet, and the neighbor came over to ask a wiring question for his MG. He described the problem(s), and I gave him some information. We also agreed for me to come over today to take a look at his car. After all, car diagnostics would get my mind off of losing my girl, even if it was only for a short time. I went over to his hou…

Not much for Datsun stuff there. I did find this Harada antenna I know it is not from a Z but looks close in size and shape. I tried looking up the part number but did not find much. Anyone seen this one before and know the application? $10 I couldn't pass it up. I also ran across this truck tool kit with a new lug wrench and jack handle, the other part seems to be missing. It did have the paper in there though, and the bag is in good shape. Again $10 I could pass it up.

Well, I have been looking for a new project and everything is beyond my price, so I picked up this to work on for the winter. Not a S30, but it is a 70’s Japanese Machine with a Z in the model name.

I had an unexpected FedEx delivery today and when I looked at the sender's address I saw that it came from Nissan in Franklin TN. Getting it open I found a cool assortment of Nissan promotional items from the Nissan Social Media Team. I connected with them last year at the time of my 50th anniversary with the car and they in turn hooked me up with the Proto Z event in Dallas. The SWAG assortment included a long-sleeve T, HotWheels Proto Z, NISMO sunglasses, uncirculated collector cards, Chris Forsberg autograph (I'm not sure I get drifting!), and an envelope of three Z promo cards. Cool stuff!!!

I was on another forum (firearms centric), and someone posted this commercial that i had never seen before. General consensus was that it was one of the best car ad's ever. 300zx.mp4

So I realize this isn't exactly Z car related, but within a month or two I will need my 77' Z transported 3/4 across the country from central Ca to Knoxville Tn. Going insane reading up on car transport and would like to see if anyone has had any experience or advice for me. Love my car and would like it to stay in "dece" condition haha Any help would be amazing! Thanks, Ryan Ogawa.

I recently started watching a TV show called "Engine Masters" and I really enjoy it. Granted... Most of their work and findings are primarily applicable to WOT drag racing kinda stuff, but I really like when they get into theory and concepts. I also like the friendly banter back and forth between the three guys on the show. Could easily be me and two buddies. I've got the DVR set up to pick it up. If you've got time to relax and want something "light", I recommend it.

Over the past few weeks there's been an influx of new accounts that post a bunch of spam or scams. You know the ones... What gives? Is this happening in other forums, has this happened before, or are we just unlucky? Anybody know how to stop this nonsense? Seems like the only way would be to screen new accounts or posts somehow, or maybe put a cap on how many new threads one can open in x amount of time, but all that would be sorta authoritarian. I dunno much about these sort of things, and I dunno how to deal with it in the back end, but maybe somebody here does! Luckily, at least, this wave of spammers and scammers have been obviously bogus - better than something …
