Brake booster developed a leak, got a replacement from auto zone (video later) odd thing was I had to install it upside down (the booster port was low and on fender side, now its high and on the engine side), for the holes to line up on the fire wall. There is a slight offset on the fire wall side between the 4 mount lugs and the main pushrod that goes to the pedal. Just wondering if anyone else noticed this? It was a 88031 IIRC booster from power brake exchange.

Does anyone have a picture of an S30 with 24" tall tires? Extra credit if the car also has 26" tall rear tires. Thanks

While this forum post is an excellent read, it still doesnt help me get any closer to actually rebuilding the stock NP valve. Any suggestions where one would find new O-rings, Y-seals, lip seals, and cup seals?

Ordered up a set of stock reman calipers from Autozone - picture on the website shows Sumitomo castings for the housings, but the ones I received have no such "SUMITOMO" markings. They visually match the Sumitomos that I currently have, other than the 20 years of rust on my originals, so it's not like they shipped me the entirely wrong calipers. Did someone start reproducing generic housings for these calipers at some point? I'm inclined to return them, and keep looking for ones with the correct Sumitomo castings - if anyone has good/bad experience with the various remans (Nugeon, Cardone, Centric, etc.) for these, I'd appreciate the info.

I am trying to get my 76 280Z 2+2 back on the road and currently have a brake line leak. It is about half way back on the passenger side. I am not real knowledgeable on repairing brake lines but was hoping to be able to just cut a section out and add some fittings and a short piece of brake line. Can someone that knows more than me recommend a repair procedure? What is the brake line size? etc. Thanks.

This is interesting, something I have not seen before... I recently acquired a early series 1 240z parts car that is very original, and have been disassembling it in my spare time. It was too far gone rustwise for any thought of restoration. Today, when removing the splash pan, I glanced at the front brakes and noticed that the dust shields have a air scoop to aid in cooling. Has anyone ever seen this before or have any insight about them? Maybe in its early life it was owned by John Morton, lol

Hi Guys, Stripping my 280Z to send it out for paint. Last thing on my list is removing the brake lines and brake booster from the engine bay. Two quick questions: 1. Are there any any issues with storing brake lines empty for 6-8 months? If yes, is there a way to remove the engine bay lines and cap downstream? If no, is the best way to drain to open a bleeder on one of the wheels and then pump the brakes till dry?

I spoke to Rob on the phone and he was pretty reassuring, but I'm wondering if anyone here has personally tried them. I have a fender roller from Eastwood but my car is pretty low and I'm not sure... I would probably just drive over and get them as I have a bit of free time these days and it would be great to see my old gang at Stanford... I Purchased an order from PartsGeek for a new brake master cylinder. I received an email requesting copies of my drivers license, bills in my name, etc so they can process my order. this sounds very shady to me. They aren’t a bank, so I don’t see them taking fraud on a card serious. Has anyone else had weird interactions with them?

Hello I have an early 1972 240z (5/72). It states that those stock brake boosters were 6” in diameter. I did a search for a 6” kit and didn’t find anyone that had them. Are they available out there or are they custom built on request and that’s the reason they don’t show up on the website. Thanks
