from what i see on youtube i am supposed to turn the little nut on the end to extend it out (its not long enough). Can someone confirm this is correct. I put vice grips on it and the wrench wont budge it....it could be its frozen up, just nervous to put too much force. I have broken things previously doing that 🙂

Hi all! I have these on my 240 and was hoping for some advice on cleaning these wheels. I would hate to ruin them by using the wrong cleaner. Some say Simple Green, others say a harsher chemical. Some say steel wool. Any advise is appreciated! Thanks!! Bill

I'm getting ready to paint my original wheels on my 1972 (12/71) Zcar. wondering if there is a specific color (in the interest of originality) or should i just go with what appears to be a medium to dark grey. any help is appreciated.

One of the jobs to be done on this car is get the parking hand brake working, I got under the car but something didn't look right, took off the drum and it all became clear. Not only was everything upside down, everything was switched side to side. In order to fix it both struts had to come out, press out the axle hub (new nuts required) and switch the backing plates.

The closer I get to completion on my 73 total restorations the more nuisance problem I encounter. This time it's brakes. Spent the last few hours reviewing related post and picked up a few tips but not my exact problem. I Replaced all hard lines and hoses, reused the master cylinder, proportioning valve, master vac, and brake warning switch. Assembled everything and blead the brakes. I had flow at each wheel bleeder. However, after bleeding I pumped the brakes a few times and they became hydraulicly locked (solid pedal). I figured the return port on the MC may have become plugged. Rather than fool around with it, I just ordered a new one. Problem solved. Rebled the…

Hi, I really like the looks of Panasport wheels and I found a set on Craigs list but I'm not sure if its wise to purchase used aluminum wheels. Does anyone have any input? I would need to purchase new tires since my existing wheels are 15 inch. They will also need some cleaning up and new clear coat. https://limaohio.craigslist.org/wto/d/findlay-panasport-formula/7615888664.html Jeff

I am a forum noob that, after much online searching with no luck, is hoping that the deep and broad experiences available here may have some advice if not answers. I am recent owner of a new (to me) 260Z (1/74 build date) with stock 4x114.3mm wheel hubs. I am on a quest to find a set (4 or 5) of 15x7 slotted mag wheels that look like the attached photo. (16x7 *may* also work.) These were common for these cars at the time, though then typically with a 14-in. diameter. Motorsports in Orange, CA, has a listing for them but no information about IF much less WHEN they may become available. www.thezstore.com/product/4707/msa-flashback-slotted-15x7-wheel-kit-70-85-z-zx Any a…

So, I've got a question about wheel hubs. I was putting the new rotors on my freshly cleaned up hubs. Once they were all together I noticed that the two hubs were not the same. I've owned this car since 1995. The previous owner was the first owner (bought it brand new in '76). I have never replaced the wheel hubs. I don't think he did either. However, the hubs are different, see attached pictures. The question: Do these differences actually matter?

Searching has not brought me any definitive answers. It appears the front and rear hubs are not uniform size? I'm asking for two reasons - 1) because I'm converting the rear brakes to disc, and the Milkfab kit uses 300ZX Turbo rotors which have a 67mm bore. 2) I bought Konig Rewind 15x7 4x114.3, 73.1 bore 0 offset - So now I'm assuming I will need hub centric spacers for the rear wheels, but not for the fronts? Can anyone advise?

I admit this is a dumb question, but I'm in CA, and my elderly mother's 1973 240Z is in Loveland, CO. I'm going there Thursday to help sort though her stuff in preparation for moving her to an assisted living facility. The car has been sitting in her garage for 20 years and the tires are nearly flat. I'll need to remove the wheels in order to take them to a gas station and pump up the tires so the car can roll (it doesn't run). My question is: what size socket should I take with me to CO for the lug nuts? The wheels are the original slotted "mags." Once I get there, I'll take photos and place a "For Sale" ad on this site. It should make a nice restoration project …
