I need to extend the crank shaft maybe 1/2 inch to keep it from rubbing against the door card covering. I had covered the door in leather and added 1/4-inch or more of foam and quilted the leather. I've found some extensions for Ford, Chevy (picture attached) and a few other cars but I was told by the vendor that it will not fit the Datsun Z. Before I try and machine a couple, does anyone know a source for this item. If not, anyone have a detailed, scale drawing of the shaft I can use as a starting point if I have to create one?

I've seen pics of interiors that have the trim panels under the pedals & covering the wiring on the right (for example in EuroDat's HEI conversion thread, pic showing his ICM wiring). I'm going to add them to my 75, I just can't find any pics that show the mounting point itself. Are they secured directly to the floor/bulkhead, are there raised mount tabs? If anyone has pics with the carpet out where the mounts are visible, that would be awesome. There are 3 mount points per side.

Hello together! I would like to introduce myself a little at the beginning - even though I have been a silent reader here for many years. I think it's great what knowledge and helpfulness is here and I would like to contribute a little. My name is Florian, I'm from Germany and have owned my first Z for 14 years. I have been infected with the Datsun virus since birth, as my family has been driving Datsuns since the 1970s. It all started with the Cherry E10, the F2, Sunny etc.... Until last year I had a 240Z, a 260Z and a 280Z. But now I only have the 260Z and the 240Z, and a Cherry E10 van. Out of this love for this brand, I founded the Instagram channel "Datsun …

I've used Wesco seat belts in a couple of 240Z's but damned if I can remember which version it was, the kind I bought had the reel mounted right at the end of the quarter window, Is this it? https://www.wescoperformance.com/haandco3rese.html

Hello all, I have a 1976 280z. I have seen pictures of vinyl liner material that went inside the storage compartments behind the seats. Anyone have a decent picture? My car never came with any, has anyone made their own? How do they mount to the car? Thanks in advance.

The panels that came with the car were in very poor shape so the owner has sprung for a full set from Palco panels, they arrived today. We only placed the order a week and a half ago, good customer service, lots of communication. From what I can see, for new panels they are pretty much the only game in town. There is this guy, https://jpfibershop.com/producto/datsun-s30-240z-260z-280z-full-rear-interior-trim-frp-version/ who says he can make you a full set of panels for $400, but I just can't see that. Too good to be true and the photos of his work don't inspire me with confidence. So here are some pics, the plastic is just slightly thicker than the origi…

5/71 240Z. Bought a pair of Corbeau GTS 2 seats from MSA, got their recommended retractable seat belt kits as well. https://www.thezstore.com/product/5882/seat-belt-retractable-lap-shoulder-both-sides-70-73-240z Turns out that these are from Retrobelt.com and the instructions are really superficial. Bag of misc fasteners, brackets, etc was provided for the DIYer. MSA said to contact Retrobelt, who declined to provide any further instructions, citing liability concerns. The seat belt rewind mechanism mounting was my concern. Images show it being mounted to the tool box walls or drilling a new hole in the floor. By looking around, found a nasty rubber plug that …

So I need some advise. I need to do the vinyl roof trim and the A pillar trim in the car. If I had been thinking, I would have done this while it was on the rotisserie, but I wasn't! I did the headliner this way. I don't know why I didn't do the rest then... So which order do the pieces go in? Sides first, then windshield header? Any pictures of how the ends are folded or detailed? What is the best way to go about it? Foam onto the vinyl first or foam on the car first? Glue applied to the vinyl or onto the car? Spray glue or yellow contact cement? I have been procrastinating on this but it's time to get it done. Thanks for any help C

I see Resurrected Classics has a 70-72 Steering Column Cover Set. Does anyone have any comments on fit and finish? How is the 73 different? Thanks
