Yep, that was the first 350Z concept, shown waaaay back in 1999 or something.

Not too sure if I like it, but I'm not too sure if I like the production 350Z either! ROFL

That one was supposed to be more of a retro car looking back to the 240 (its in there somewhere). nissan changed it because they didnt want to go "backwards" with their designs and wanted to look to the future.

It also had the 4 cylinder KA24 engine in it which inspired me to run the SR20DET in my 240Z.
There was also another variation which was much nicer, I'll dig it up & post it later.

i like that concept better than the production version.. holds on to a bit more of the S30's than the new ones. i mean, look at that opera window! classic....

As much as I like the yellow one with the opera style windows I think Nissan made the right decision with the production version however I've come to dislike it's rear just a bit. It's a bit bulky and flat, much prefer the race car look of the S30 Z from behind.

However the 350z looks alot better with the rear spoiler I saw on it at the motorshow here in Melbourne a little while back.

Really needs the rear wing. Interesting to see if I like the roadster version.

how about putting the nose from the first one on the production car, it might look interesting (the front half of the 350z is its only bad attribute asthetically)
