Don’t cha just love it when you manage to get some free time over the weekend to spend with your car? While the JNC workhorse wagon (http://japanesenostalgiccar.com/article.cgi?section=features&article=toyotaCressidaWagon) is not exactly slammed like a mamma jamma, it is somewhat lower thanks to RS-R springs. It also now sits on a random set of old school wire-spoke wheels minus the baskets. What did you do this weekend?

Put a Centerforce I clutch in my nieghbor kid's 78Z. A 78Z that I gave him a year ago. The clutch job went well, I need more throw for the slave to make me happier. I also put a early style fiberglass bumper on the front...it looks great. Photos to follow.
Attended a Datsun/Nissan show outside of Portland, OR. Pretty nice day.

Wow, Steve... that looks like a MESS!! Holy crap.
I went to the Hillsboro Airshow (near Portland, OR) with friends/family and finished some remodeling on the house. Still looking for my perfect Z wheels for the 71.
Checked out some old 3-series project cars...
Played Lego Raiders of the Lost Ark (uh, with my son. yeah, that's what it was....)
Watched Olympics
Cured cancer
Buffed/waxed "The Lemming" (AKA the Camry daily driver)
Detailed/dusted the Z
Still looking for my perfect Z wheels for the 71.Join the club, Mike. I'm just glad you and I aren't looking for the same type...

Wow, Steve... that looks like a MESS!! Holy crap.
Look up the definition of mess in the dictionary and they show that picture. I've done a few and that was the worst. Thank goodness for digital cameras. I took photos as I tore it down and needed to refer to them several times to get wiring routed correctly. I was hoping to get some work done on the Z but the Boss needed her air working.

Unfortunately the governor wanted me to work the roads this weekend.
So I worked several crashes and gave out a couple of tickets.
This coming weekend I get to go to Boston and watch the Red Sox play.

Had a great time at the Conn Z Show,Mr Sharp & Ross Williams were great hosts! Bob Sharp probably developed a bit of hand cramp from all the autographs, but it's not often a true Datsun racing legend mixes it up with the club scene. Check out the event pics when you have a moment.
BSR dominated racing and will never be surpassed. BSR4Ever! :classic:

On the Down side I worked a Disaster Recovery drill for some Airline reservation systems.
On the upside I had my Lawyer call the body shop to inquire as to when my 240z will be done.

Did some re-assembly prep work on my 240Z project. Waiting for a few small parts to begin installing brake lines and engine wiring harness. Drilled holes for the new, 260 Z master vac, and some other small stuff.

Pitle-farted around the house.
Did some wiring upgrades on the Z, added a couple more Stainless lines under the hood, about to swap alternators to a ZX one.
My wife and I attended the Hemings Car Show in Saratoga on Sunday. We got to meet a few other z owners there. This weekend it's off to Brookline MA for a japanese car and bike show.

After putting about 1,000 miles on the fresh (1980) overhaul I thought it was about time to change out the water (only) for some anti-freeze. Put some pink (orange-red) anti-freeze in and drove it about an hour. Popped the hood to lower the idle and noticed a pin hole leak in the radiator. Pulled the rad and drove it 33 miles to the radiator shop for repair. Hopefully I can go get it today. Glad it went out now and not on the way to the Midwest Z Fest in Tulsa later this month. Will be replacing the anti-freeze with the green stuff. Now if I can get the turn signals and horn working, I'm good to go.

Watched a ton of olympic events (Go USA!)
Also experienced some issues starting my 91' honda hatchback. It just wouldn't start, or would sputter and die if it did. I changed the spark plugs, no avail. I took apart the distributor and cleaned all the contacts, points, and the ignition coil... that did it.
Nothing more gratifying then fixing a problem yourself.
