Yes, I know I post to many of these Ebay auctions on here, but when I saw this I thought I had to post it.

How about we swap that one for this one. I was considering bidding on this one myself until I gave my head a shake and realized I don't need 2 '70s. It just reminds me of my '64 Impala because it has the same color scheme of white/blue. Stunning combination.

Looks quite a bit like my car inside.

Interesting what he's done with the door panels (black on top). I don't think I've ever seen that before.

Beautiful car, Geezer! You should reconsider bidding on it :). My latest project, a '71, happens to be the same color combination as the one you just found on Ebay. The new blue seat covers just arrived earlier this week from MSA and I am very anxious to get going on things after looking at the pics of the subject car:

You're right, Brian. I didn't notice the door panels at first. Since the car spent most of its life in New Mexico, the tops of the door panels were probably dried out and cracked from the desert sun and he may have used the tops from some black ones. Original blue door panels in good condition are probably the toughest to find since there were only a limited number of them made in '70 and '71.

I've got too many neglected projects underway at present but would think this is definetly worth the trip to see in person if your in the market for a nice "Series 1". You have a good eye & good taste Steve. Twins?

Yeah, that's probably the case. The sun tends to turn the blue to more of a greenish color...it gets pretty ugly. I thought that the owner of this car might have repaired the panels and then sprayed them with some black SEM or something, too (the blue is tough to match).

Anyway, it doesn't look bad at all.

His plastic panels look very good (a lot better than mine did before I sprayed them). I wonder if they're new-ish replacement panels? Classic Datsun still offers the blue panels......

I know we talked about this before, Brian (I think it was right after I bought my 904 White/blue int car from the Phoenix Craig's List), but what was the SEM blue color number that you used on your plastic panels?

Wedgewood Blue (15133). It's not a perfect match for the original blue, it's a couple of shades lighter. But it's close enough.

My car had been parked in the sun for some time, obviously, and the plastic panels weren't consistent in color. Some of them were blue, some were greenish, some were more of an aqua color. So getting them all to one consistent color was a huge improvement.....
