I thought I would just start a new thread since the last one was getting a bit long.
I heard back from the seller and the sale was totally legit. He said his reserve was quite a bit higher than his "low" starting price. He knows what he has. Anyway, shortly after putting it on ebay, he changed his mind (I know how that feels!) and is going to keep the car.
