I have seen the Z......and it is good.
Not great, but looks much better in person than in pictures. The biggest surprise is that it looks NOTHING like an Audi TT, I was really amazed. Kept looking at all angles trying to see what we've all seen in the pix.
Still don't like the front end, and the door height is too high. I talked the spokesmodel into letting me stand by the car when the show was closing (see pic below- sorry it's not sharp, my buddy was standing too close to the model I think). I'm 5'10" and the door is higher than my belt-line.
Couldn't get in the car but the interior looked very nice.
The spokesmodel said this was very close to the production Z but not optioned out like any of the new packages.
All-in-all, it's a pretty cool car, easily the best in its price range. But hey, this is a forum, have at it:

Great pictures. I kinda like it. I llike the front better than the back. I dont like the tall big rounded rear ends... on cars. But they seem to be in vogue. As for the doors being too high, that would be, in my opinion, classic zcar design. They are too high for my liking in the 240. I thought about putting a few spacers under my seats to raise them up so I can see out. Cant wait to see it in person.

Big rounded rearends are in vogue. Check out Jennifer Lopez!;)
Bill, to give us a relative height of the car, how tall are you?
And, are those 18" rims on 45 series tires?

Jennifer's looks fine, this one doesn't. No character!! Front is the same, no lines to break up the monotony of the un-ending curves. Side view looks better.
Of course that's just my opinion.:finger:
I'm shocked all to hell to admit this, but I kinda like it. It does look way better than the magazine and promo shots would have you believe... probably has something to do with the Kubrickesque camera angles they use.
However, holey criminey! How big is that thing?!!?!? Looks roughly the size of a GM F-body.
Maybe know we know what The General is doing with the leftover parts.

I'm 5'10" so that gives it a little scale, it's probably about the same size as a 2 door Honda Accord, maybe a little smaller.
I'd really like to see it in another color, if you play around with the colors on the nissandriven site the car really takes on different looks.
If the convertible shows up that should really be interesting....

The interior looks appealing. I assume it is leather. What was behind the seats? flat storage ?
Ernest
Not sure I like it just yet. Have to see it up close. I didn't like the gold color i've seen but the silver looks better. Front end, I don't know. It just doesn't look Z like. As far as door height, this may be a boon for the older generation that I assume they are trying to appeal to. I know that in the years that have passed since I bought my '73 Z it does get harder to get out of the low slung cars. I guess I was hoping to see a Z that had more similarity to the original. Anyway, never say never. I may wind up with Z's 30 years apart.

yep, flat space with a shock tower brace that runs over it. Not a lot of room, but heh, it's supposed to be a sports car....

I saw it at the Brisbane Motor Show on the weekend, it is a lot smaller than I thought it would be. It has an anamorphous type of look that could be anything - not only a Nissan. The same problem afflicts a lot of new cars I have seen of late. BTW it is much more exciting than anything else on the Nissan stand tho.

If JLo and the 350 where lined up next to each other, and you had to choose between one or the other, which one would you choose? Me, JLO all the way baby!!

She would probably "cost" a lot more in the long run. But I think I'm on your side. Maybe if they hadn't put those triangular lights on it would look a lot better.

I saw the orange 350Z at the recent Brisbane motor show actually...
And I'm not convinced still ;)
Better than the pics yes, but too fat.

Great pictures, Bill. It looks somewhat better than the early version, but it's still butt-ugly. (And I'm not referring to JLo's butt, either.) Did all of the current automobile designers have mothers who were frightened by a big triangle? Seems round and square lights are a thing of the past.

You need a "Still deciding if it looks good" option. I think I like it, but more than the classic versions, I don't know. Would I say that I hate it, absolutely not. Do I think it looks better than the classics, I don't think so...the jury is still out.
