I'm new to this board and was offered an opportunity to have a 79' 280z for free... its totally rusted to the bone and I was wondering if it is still restorable (reasonable to restore something this rusted)... I was thinking of taking it as a 3-5year project with a 5grand budget each year... I want to make it a daily driver so that it’s reliable and also make it an auto-x car...
I want to keep the engine if I can. And pretty much restore as much as I can and fabricate anything that I can't; say like the dash.
Lastly, are there any Philly, South Philly, and SOUTH NJ people on this board? I would like to attend any meets that you would hold in the area...
