Engine for a 240Z

Got a 73Z. Engine is a giant paperweight. Will a 280Z engine work in the car. Is there quicker acceleration with the 280 engine, i.e., more torque?:) :confused:

I have a L28 engine at my deposal and I know that if it is good it is 25 more horsepower than the L24 engine. The stock 240z is 150 horse power at the flywheel and 120 at the wheel. The 280zx is 145 at the wheel smogged out with the emission crap probably 180 at the flywheel. The 75 z L28 is 135 horsepower and 170 at the flywheel.:)
