gauges went offline?

i got a 73 240 that seems to have an electrical problem.; I was driving it when the tach dropped to nothing and all my gauges went out. The choke light an fasten seat belt dont work now along with the turn signals? The alt. and regulator were replaced not to long ago. Anyone know what this could sond like?

Sounds like a blown fuse.I once installed a napa remanuf. alternator and had that problem.It was defective.If your fuses are good you may have a burnt/bad fusible link.Always replace a fusible link with the correct part NOT a piece of wire.
