Copeland/Siddons are very experienced, Jon Siddons is an excellent circuit racer. That Zed was put together at the last minute too, lets hope it holds together. :geek:

yeah thats the one only its pink now donut king sponser paul stokell couldnt run his factory vw so hes running it now listed in targa as a 510 1800 but to me its a 1600 with 1800 motor
The 1600 still leading class
copelands 240z has slipped to 3rd in class today
Luv the zeds but dont forgert the GTR running third outright today these guys are looking to win

Might be a 1800 motor, but it's been bored out to just under 2L!
Anything can still happen, especially with the GTR!

targa has been run and won drum roll please a damn wrx finally did it bet the porsches home second was a guy from my home town in nissan gtr r34 would have won if not for a faulty fuel reg was running rough for 1 and half days till they found it after changing all the electrics first
of the zeds copland was the best in 3rd place in the classic section bet home by 45 sec by a rs2000 and a 911 porsche in second of the rest of the 240/260 and 280 they place in the classic section 6,10,13,22,26,48,61 may have missed some not bad in a field of 123 in the classic section
they had mostly fine weather though in fine tasmanian style we did test them with a day and half of rain as well as 20 km of snow that slowed the 2wd porsches down
Till next year (or the new burnie tarmac rally in june)

Out of interest, as I would like to do the Targa one year in the Zed, what sort of mods did the lead Zed have?
Cheers,

Those poor cars. They look like they have been badly abused.
Was that over turned white car an old Toyota S800? Is that the right name? The little 2 cylinder roadster is the car I am thinking of.

Thats right.. I almost cried!! Then I saw the red Z and the BNR34, and I did cry! Luckily they dont look too bad though... The red Z looks like it will need a lot of work...
Seems to me that there were a lot more crashed cars this year?! Is it just me??? Unfortunately I didn't get to see any of it on the TV...

It was wet the last day or so, apparently the roads can get very greasy, under the overhanging trees particularly.
The red Zed may have been the one from the Gold Coast which had a lot of money spent on it. Not sure though.

I thought the pink one would have been the one from the Gold Coast (Siddons & Copeland)?

Yeh, Jon Siddons is from the Gold Coast but there was another Gold Coast car entered too I think.
See the wheels on Siddons' car? 15 x 7" BBS, very light.

I like to ad the Tasmania rally to my Victory Lane list (http://www.z-point.nl/00.htm) as I do for four years now but I can’t find a complete entry list. Can you? All I can find is a car by car

I knew that was an s800. Thanks for the picture Lachlan. To bad it flipped, but it is a good thing it was a hardtop. These rallies look like a lot of fun. Some one should take their Zed on the Pikes Peak rally in Colorado. That would be nuts.
