I am about a weekend away from firing up my F54/P79 for the first time after having the head shaved .080 along with new valves, lash pads and valve stem seals. The cam, springs, and rocker arms have been retained. The bottom end has not been rebuilt, torn down or modified in any way. There is the possibility that it has been rebuilt in the past, but I can't prove it, aside from clean internals and freeze plugs that were cleaner than the outside of the block. I have driven that engine before, about 2 years ago before I took it out of the car I got it from. So my question is, should I run break in oil and follow engine rebuild procedure even if I just had a few thin…

Hi friends, my clutch disk needs a replacement. Centerforce doesn't sell the disk separated. Why should I buy a total new kit when I only need a new disk? What is the special of the centerforce 2 disk and has anyone of you an idea what I can use instead and where to get it. Thanks for your help! Rolf

New here, so if I'm in the wrong place, don't be shy you can tell me where to go. I've seen this talked about in bits and pieces all over the place, but still haven't really got the answer I'm looking for. I have a 75' 280z (on jack stands for the last few years). It's a 4 speed car. I have the 5 speed and the 3.90R200 to put into it, and when I do (soon. i'm trying to rekindle this project), I would like to install a lightweight flywheel and of course new clutch. I don't want to go too light. If I recall, the stock weight is 22-23lbs. What I see all over ebay is the Fidanza packaged up with the Exedy clutch. Seems like a good package but that flywheel only weighs 10…

I've got a 1971 240Z with an R200 rear and a SBC 383 stroker motor. The beast is making around 450 HP and has worn out the rear end. I'm looking for a source who can provide a new ring and pinion set hopefully with a ratio of 3:70 (It currently has a 4:ll in it and that's to much). I'm open to any and all suggestions.

I didn’t want to takeover Matthew Abate’s post regarding Subaru Stub axles. But I have some questions: Are there “datsun stub axles” that will fit into the Subaru R180s? Where are members buying aftermarket axles? Have you purchased some and what is your experience? Had anyone adapted the R160 diff to a Z? I have been working my way through HybridZ with out getting clear answers? Plus they are mostly focused on the big HP cars. Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile
