This award winning car is registered as a 1971 240Z; however, it's VIN is HLS30-08540, built in 8/70, making it a 1970 model year car. Here's the link: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1971-datsun-240z-160/

Some of the more open-minded enthusiasts here might like to have a look at this absolutely stunning example of a Toyota 2000GT currently on Yahoo Auctions Japan. http://page7.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/g15069185 That's a starting price of USD$91,000 and a "Buy-it-now" price of USD$186,000 :stupid:

I just saw this one listed on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Datsun-Z-Series-240-1972-Datsun-Orange-240Z-Immaculate-Mint-Condition-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem4152df2d8aQQitemZ280563232138QQptZUSQ5fCarsQ5fTrucks. It looks totally stock and in great shape. I'll be interested to see what it sells for, if it meets the buyers reserve price. -Mike

https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/cto/d/vancouver-rare-1970-datsun-240z-dark/6781563999.html Nice clean car, a few changes as expected. Radio and speakers, some switches and hose clamps, etc. All and all it looks pretty good for $30K (not mine)

Appears to be a low VIN since it has both the choke and throttle levers? Has the original Hitachi AM radio and looks to be very original except for the dealer-optioned slotted mag wheels. The car's original hub caps are included with the car which are the early version D hubcaps when you look at the placement of the valve stem hole. The picture of the rear of the car is of bad quality, but it looks like there might be defroster lines in the hatch glass, so the VIN may not be that low. After reading through the questions, the owner is in Florida and his friend is selling the car for him. He does not know what the VIN is, but will have it tomorrow. Here's the link: …

Somebody may have an interest in these. Getting more expensive every day... https://raleigh.craigslist.org/pts/d/durham-datsun-240-for-parts/6895350668.html This one is at a junkyard by the looks or it https://knoxville.craigslist.org/pts/d/strawberry-plains-datsun-240z/6898466586.html This ones not very cheap, figuring it's gonna have some rust on it... If somebody here buys them I can sleep better and won't have to fall into temptation. It'll be like it's still in the family
