http://www.redlineweber.com/ I am contemplating building another L24 for my Z, and wanted to try triples. However, many vendors sells the kit for the Datsun 240Z conversion. MSA, REdline, Peircemanifolds, and may be others. Anybody have any recommendations on which vendor to purchase from.

Hi, I was wondering which tool should I purchase to tune up balancing for my '72 240z SU carb. Later on, I'm planning to upgrade to triple Carb. Thus, I would like to use both carb with one tool if applicable. Should I get SYNCHROMETER http://www.piercemanifolds.com/product_p/ste%20sk.htm or Edelbrock Uni-Syn Carburetor Balancing Instruments http://www.summitracing.com/parts/EDL-4025/ or any other alternate suggestion. Also, I will be appreciated if you can recommend good website to purchase. Thanks!

Making sure this is alright due to using parts from a 71 and a 72. I have a E36 intake manifold (believe this was from a 71), no water jacket going to carb. Then I have the 72 insulators with the water jackets. Going into the 72 SUs with water jackets. Ok, now for the air box side of the SU's, I have the 2 air ports at the top which I believe feed the damper. But my air box only has the one opening for the air port. Does this all seem compatible? I am currently not running the water line thru the intake, so I do not suppose there is an issue with the insulator but wondering if I should be using the earlier insulator with no holes. And for the air box onl…

Like the title says, I need some visual help on putting together my linkage from my PHH 40 Mikunis to the firewall of my 71-240. I have been studying pics on this site and others but not having much luck seeing what i want to see. I am running a Mikuni shorty manifold. The kit I bought had an extra bellcrank with a ball on it for the rod and ball linkage. Presently I am thinking of cutting my SU rod and mounting this bellcrank on it and doing something like that.(I will post a pic when this is done), but like to see what others have come up with. So if you have any close-ups of the firewall set-up that would be great.

Just like the title says. Who sells the springs that sits inside the SU dome? I really think this may solve my problem I have been having. Well I least I hope it does.

Last fall I replaced my flat-top carbs on my 73 with ZTherapy round top carbs. I took a bunch of pictures for reference, so I thought I'd put together a quick description of what went down. Here's a couple of before pictures. What a mess of plumbing: Once I pulled the trigger and ordered the ZTherapy carbs (about $1100 for everything I ordered), they couldn't get here soon enough. I bugged them a few times and they eventually shipped them to me. All of the threads about ZTherapy are true – they are a joy to work with and have an excellent product. The unboxing: After watching the video, I was a little bummed about by this kinked hose, but I got it straight…

I want to take apart the throttle linkage on my 73 240 to clean it up and replace the rubber firewall boot. The dumb question: Do those little ball and socket joints just pop apart? I tried to get them apart but they didn't yield to medium pressure. I didn't want to break anything so I thought I better ask before I tried to strong-arm them. Thanks, in advance, for your answers!

So the 70-71s nozzles use the N27, and the 72's nozzles use the N54(believe that is the number) needle. What is the actual difference in these, what would be expected if I used N54 needles with the 71 nozzles? Is there any difference in the base of these needles, or the base of the needles that are used for the automatics (N58s)? I have a problem with a set of needles I got from Motorsport, supposedly they are N27 needles, not stamped or anything so no idea what I got, they visually look the same to me but dont know my eyes arent as great as they used to be. One of the needles will not enter the piston, well it will go in about 1/4 the way but after that I would need t…

Good Morning, Does anyone know any sources for Mikuni 44phh Parts other than Wolf Creek (They're out of stock at the moment). I need two butterflies/ throttle plates for the 44phh carbs; the ones stamped 175, and there doesn't seem to be many of those for sale anywhere. I'm happy to go used, so long as they're straight. The car is being tuned at the moment and we're at a standstill until I can find them. Any help would be appreciated,

The fuel pump on my 240z is leaking and will have to be replaced, my car has a/c and the compressor is right there where I can't get to the pump bolts. Will it have to come completely off or is there some way to just loosen it and work around it? Thx
