Well, sorry to dominate all the recent forum activity, but I’m really trying to get this thing done! I’ve got an electrical problem somewhere. I’ve read what feels like 100 posts regarding the turn signals. I’ve studied the following links heavily and still can’t seem to figure it out: https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/16435-72-240z-brake-light-wiring/ https://fiddlingwithzcars.wordpress.com/2013/01/20/hazard-switch-brake-light-turn-signal-circuit-analysis/ THE PROBLEM: I have no brake lights or front/rear turn signals HERE’S WHAT DOES WORK: Hazards (front and rear), Headlights & Tail lights, Reverse Lights, Brake light switch, all fuses are good, al…

Fresh from winters hibernation, took Z out for a short ride. Hit a mile stone of 70,000 miles. All good until I returned home and found my recently cleaned motor had oil sprayed on passenger side of motor and firewall. Found the pump decided to blow oil out of the weep hole. Over the winter I bought a new Nikki fuel pump, rebuilt the top half of the original pump. The bottom part containing the rubber shaft seal appeared to be fine so it wasn’t changed. Cleaned up the mess then removed and disassembled pump, sure enough the seal was torn.. Luckily I saved the remains of the donor fuel pump, swapped out the seal and reassembled, hopefully it last another 54 years.

I have the original AC compressor and it looks like in a decent shape. Is there a reliable place where these can be rebuilt? I am planning to grab some R12 from a guy locally and use that. or do u guys recommend putting R132? also i would need condensor and receiver drier. Where to get those? Also is it a DIY job to remove the compressor etc. and put it back? Would really appreciate any guidance. My heater works fine. The 2nd owner had the AC switch wire near heater control pulled off to keep the compressor disenageged.

Im doing some basic checks on my L28 engine before firing it up. Came across this oil spray bar that definitely isn’t stock. Anyone see one like this before? It might be aftermarket, but I’m leaning more towards someone’s home brew creation. Given the inherent weakness of the stock spray bar (from researching the forum), I’m consider keeping this one and using it. Can’t really think of a reason not to if it appears to do the job. Nonetheless, has anyone seen one like this before in the aftermarket space? Or is it DIY? Any reason not to keep using it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Anyone have a good suggestion to what after market cruise control to install? So many on the market. My first concern would be not so intrusive on the dash.

Guys does this even fit a 280z? how do u insert? If u insert with the beveled edge towards the door handle it does leave a bit of space from where u can see the pin. Is this the right way? Other way it just flushes with the handle and u cannot see the pin. originally I did not had these and got the handles off easily as there was more space. Just wondering if anyone used these and after that it is easy to unpin the handle again.

I have been using this gun to spray adhesive for my restoration project. https://www.yourautotrim.com/aespradspgun.html Unfortunately, it fell off my work bench the other day (it is rather top heavy and I wasn't paying enough attention). When it hit the floor the brass fitting that connects the gun to the cup broke. Searching online, I haven't been able to find anything like this fitting. I will try to determine the thread size today, but I know it is not pipe. The nut on the right threads onto the brass fitting and can travel the full distance of threads. It is a lock nut. To secure the paint gun to the cup, the brass fitting slips through the nut on the …

Here's a dumb, improbable, not going to happen, but question never the less. What would happen if you were somehow able to put an old school engine into a modern car? Would it be able to handle the weight? Would it be running at 5k down the street to get groceries? Could it even move the car? For example, what would happen if you were somehow able to shoehorn an L-series engine into a modern car or SUV? For the purpose of wasting our time on this thread, let's say putting an L-series engine in a 370z and Pathfinder. Would it be able to move the car? Would the clutch be the weak point and slip? etc.
