Picking through the Performance Wheels catalogue the other day, I noticed they are now making the Superlite (minilite style, which the Watanabe brigade have so embraced) and Challenger (like the Bathurst Globes) both in a 15x10, with -26 offset. Yes, folks, mega deep dish wheels off the shelf to fit your GTR replica. When I still had my 240K I struggled to find anything that would come close to filling out the flares. Even the 15x8 +4 was going to be way short of filling the guard. These should retail for under $300 per wheel. Not bad comapred to what some people pay for unknown condition second hand stuff from Japan (not to mention potential quarantine issues with impor…

Hi Guys, i am just about to put in an order for a set of 16x8 (0 offset) front and 16x8.5 (-6 offset) rear watanabe R's in magnesium centre and polished lips. The reason i am going so large is to fit a set of R34 Skyline GTT disc and calipers on the front (large 4 spot aluminimum calipers, 300mm discs). I chose the particular offset and size as this was one of the 2 recommendations from the watanabe website (the other being in 15") for the KPGC110 GTR, and the GTT came out with 17" wheels standard. To be honest, i have no idea if the 16" will fit, i have the flares to go on the car, but someone also said the GT-R track is wider than the KHGC110. anybody here good with wo…

Anyone out there try 18 x 8 wheels on a 240 with low profile ties to maintain the same tire diameter (24.7")? I'm having alot of concern about the requried offset to make this work. At firs t plush looks like I'll have to go 15" wheels with the appropriate adapter.

Hi all, I am rebuilding the brakes of a 240k. I am struggling to find much in the way of stuff advertised as 240k/c110, but have a strong feeling that wheel cylinder kits/master cylinder kits/sumimoto caliper rebuild kits etc are probably common to a bunch of other Datsun models. Anyone know what brake/clutch items are common, and which are K only? Cheers, Drew

Hi Guys, Just wondering if any of you have done any suspension work to your cars to help them handle better on the road/track. I have some real concerns that after i do my RB25/30 swap, the front is going to be a lot heavier and understeer a lot more (that is... if the car ever gets traction) So far i have the following (suspension wise) Front: height adjustable shocks (C210 i believe) Whiteline BDF33 swaybar Whiteline SPF1224K bushes Rear: Munroe GT shocks Whiteline BDR5 swaybar Depending on what size rims that i get (hopefully 15/16" watanabe if i EVER find some), i will lower the car accordingly. The swaybars go on over christmas, i will make sure …

im trying to change the bushes in the rear wishbone on the IRS set-up on a 240k, I pressed out the standard bushes, but can seem to fit the new pedders bushes... there is a metal sleeve inside where the stock bushes sat, does the sleeve need to come out?? ifso how, ive tried pressing it out, heating it and it seems to be stuck?? next question, would R30 skyline rear wishbones bolt onto my 240k?

Ok, today i noticed that the inner tie-rod ends where they bolt onto the drag link are very close the the crossmember (infact it slightly rubs when i turn the wheel) i dont think it was like this before i rebuilt all the front end i think i could possibly have the idler arm bolted in the wrong position? it is in the middle set of holes, is this right? is it possible i have the struts reversed??

Hi Guys, i am once again looking into getting off my arse and doing my brake conversions. does anyone know (and i am sure there will be someone) if a 240Z rear brake conversion kit would work on a 240K arm? looking at something similar to this: http://www.modern-motorsports.com/catalog/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=&products_id=2 the 240SX is the equivilant to the imported 180SX here i think.

I have a pair of rear brake drums that came spare with my 240Z when I bought it, but were lost in the deep dark cave known as the "garage" some time ago. I found them again the other day and thought why not swap them into the 240K? They look fairly identical except the Z has heatsink shims around the drum. Before I go ahead and do it, is it ok??? I don't see how it could be a problem, but I thought I better ask. Here are some pictures. Both are marked with MAX. DIA. 230.0MM, 9.055 as shown in the second image.

Hi enthusiasts for long time ago I thought that the rear cylinder assy. is 13/16" dia , as what is written on it ( My 240K is 1976 ) I opened the cylinder from another 240K ( in my junk ) surprisingly I found the cylider 7/8" !!!!!!!! so which is the original ? the 240K which I have in my scrap collection run for two years only ( 1977-1979 ) as the scrap owner told me so I believe every thing on it is original .. if any one can check his 240K ?? http://www.upload2world.com/pic17/upload2world_dd4bf.jpg' alt='upload2world_dd4bf.jpg'>
