My fuel gauge stopped working after the car sat for a month with a full tank of fuel. I need to test to find out if the tank sending unit is bad or the gauge itself. I can't make heads or tails out of the testing procedure offered in "that" UK printed manual. Does someone know how I can test the tank unit easily? Thank you! Kerrigan

Anybody got and scans of 240K wiring diagrams they could post? Might try and get the interior fan blower working in my K. Wiring digrams would be a help.

Hi Guys, i have been thinking of completely stripping out the main body wiring harness in the 240k, and replacing it with a US universal kit such as this one (either 12 or 18 circuit): http://www.painlesswiring.com/webcatalog/cat-universalharn.php I am pretty proficiant with soldering etc, and i was going to just run my own wiring, but as it seems hard (and very $$$) to find a decent fuse box here in Aus (and i really can't be bothered trying to get an used fusebox rewired), i figured i should just pay the ~$500 and buy a kit and install it myself (certainly cheaper than hacking the main loom, screwing it up and ahving to pay a pro to fix it). Hi, I'm after more amps from my alternator, what alternator upgrade are there for my 240K ?, a "just plugin" be nice ?, I live in Tassie so cars from the US would not be an option. also it using a external regulator I believe, 2 wire out from the alternator, plus power Nigel

I believe I am having problem with the elect. fuel pump on my '73 z. As i recall, I thought I used to be able to hear the fuel pump operating when the ignition was on but the car not started. I am currently not hearing anything. Is my assumption correct. The car does not seem to run very long under load(normal driving), but it does idle ok. Thanks

My parking lights wont work. Fuse keeps blowing when I turn the switch to the 'on' postition. Headlights work. Brake lights work, radio works. Hell, everything else works. I know I just recently reconnected all my parking lights after my new paint job. I'm wondering if there is a short somewhere. Anyone had this problem and found out what was the cause????? I'm pissed, tried to take it out on the town at night, and don't have running lights.:stupid:

I'm slowly getting my EFI set up done, I brought a MR30 skyline, to use the EFI from, I stripped the wiring harmes out, Hacked the wiring a bit, and I kept the fuse box, plugged it back onto the motor (still in the MR30 Skyline) to make sure it was still running, All appears to be good, started on my 240K to see where I was going to put it (ECU), I decided under ther dash, left hand side, above the parcel tray, I put a hole in the fire wall, put the wiring through to make sure it fitted, Now I'm hacking the inlet manifold, removing the webbing and EGR plenum, I've included some pictures.. Might be a silly question, but here goes. Tail lights (whether JDM or export), are they able to be swapped left to right??? Just watching Import Monster for some JDM lights and am curious in case i can pick up a single light setup

Hello, I was just wondering if anyone knew anything about selecting spark plug wires? Does it really matter what kind of wire you get for your car? Do you need a certain set up with a Mallory Unilite Distributor and a MSD Blaster 2 coil, and MSD 6A?

Hey guys, Ive been scratching my head for a little while now, and the Workshop Manual i have has been no help, I have 4v dc going to coil and Resistor, So far i have changed, Points (new) Rotor Button (new) Coil (New GT40R) Resistor (New) Ignition Switch (New) Replaced 10A Fuse Checked Fuse Wire (With Multimeter) checked connections on Back of the Dash Cluster Im currently at a loss as to Wtf is going on with it, ive replaced everything i can with new items at a great cost. still getting silly voltages at the Dizzy/Coil/Resistor.
