Anybody out there know why spell check would stop working on the site? Seems to have happened right after a Windows update. It's checked as on in Settings but doesn't work on any forum type web sites. Still works in Outlook email though.

Does anyone here have any recent experience with Datsun Garage? I placed a big order with them back in July, and haven't received anything from them yet. They sent me a few messages not long after the order was placed, letting me know that some of the items were back-ordered, and could take a while to ship. I received a reply to an email I sent them a few weeks ago, and was told that they'd check on the status of my order, but since then they've gone silent in spite of my sending a bunch of emails and calling them repeatedly. Has anyone received anything from them recently? On the flip side of this coin, I'm seriously impressed by KF Vintage. I've placed two orders w…

Last week, I had the opportunity to spend about an hour experiencing what traveling by car will be like in the future. I was a passenger in a driverless car in Los Angeles. Google's Waymo subsidiary was testing their driverless fleet of Jaguars in Santa Monica and Venice and my son had an unlimited use pass for a week. How could I resist? I felt safe in the front passenger seat and the car handled traffic well, including getting out of the way of a fire truck.

Has anyone tried the AC hoses Godzilla Raceworks makes specifically for the Vintage Air evaporator? This looks like it might be the lowest cost option to complete the AC system’s refrigerant circuit. https://www.godzillaraceworks.com/hvac/datsuns30vintageairhoses I would really like to have stainless steel hardlines for the majority of my system, but I can’t rig weld OR silver braise, so it may not be possible for me to do myself. I was also looking into Aeroquip EZ-Clip connectors and narrow hose, but I’m unclear as to the reliability of that vs beadlock fittings. These Godzilla hoses will definitely be cheaper and I won’t have to buy tools. I just do…

When you post a parts-wanted ad OR reply to and ad/thread requesting a part, beware of the responses : can be a simple reply, usually a private/direct message. The guy might even refer you to another saying ''I've seen this guy advertsing a few'' It'll all sound totally convincing and along with the request for paypal via 'friends/family', which, to a member on this forum seems reasonable too. Check out their member status : for how long they've been a member here and have they posted anywhere else and what was it - in most cases only a VERY brief time, sometimes the same day and with no other public activity (hence the PMs). Admin/moderators - impossi…

Not my car but very close with body-colored bumpers! Edit: the article is incorrect where it discusses the 240Z engine block number not matching the VIN. I sent a note to MotorTrend explaining the difference is intentional with pics of my engine bay data plate and warranty card. https://www.motortrend.com/how-to/where-is-the-vin-number-on-a-car/

Hey all. The guy I worked for off and on, presently on at the time, past away in his sleep at the end of January. I've gone from a great 30 hour a week job to 55 hours a week by myself running a paint store. He had that and was a general contractor plus 88 two bedroom apartments plus another 10 or so commercial rentals. We lost our best employee when he didn't wake up one morning so I'm trying to help his family which he kept out of his businesses as best he could. I read the site every day but can't reply too much because of how busy day to day is. Making a lot of money is my get out of bed every morning motivation and his family is my family too. …

Okay I have a gripe, and very big gripe. Hagerty Drivers Club puts out a magazine. Well for years they've been Japanese autophobic except on very rare occasions. They have all the American and European car makers represented huge throughout their magazine, but Japanese automakers are conspicuously left out at least 99% of the time. I have written them several times with no success. I got a response about 20 years ago that they would attempt to do better. Fat chance! What can be done about it, because I know many Z owners send them business through their classic car and HPDE insurance..........me for one. But that may change. Thoughts? The latest edition has one Japanese c…
