Hey guys almost done with this project. I like the Rota RB-R wheels chromium or flat black. I just finished painting the car 2005 Lambo Murcielago yellow. I want the car to look a bit aggressive. a little phat in the back. please help so when I order the wheels, I won't run into problems. I have been through a lot to get this far. I was thinking 17x8 in the rear and 16x7 in the front. you guys can tell me different option. I am seeing people pull back fenders and valence ect. I don't want to stall anymore. I just want to put the wheels and tires with no hassle. be advised that I did the wilwood 4 lug brake upgrade from that Arizona zcar guy. So callipers got to be cleared…

I have tried to search for original 240Z wheels to get an idea of what they look like. I have not really found any information that lists this with pictures, names or descriptions. I have seen some of the cars that have hubcaps with a D in them and others with what looks like a four spoke wheel (no hubcaps). What was standard (or at least a factory upgrade) on a '70 240Z? Did it change for '71 or '72? If I buy a '70 - '71 car that does not have the original wheels, can these be purchased? If so, what do they usually cost? Thanks, James

HOWDY, I currently have some old BFG Radial TA's on my 70 240z, that I am thinking of replacing. First of all, my car is a stock 240z with Nissan European Springs, MSA sway bars, KYB struts, on stock 280zx wheels ( see attached). The current tires are 195/70-14, but I am not that happy with them. Any suggestions on some decent tires? What sizes are you all running? Thanks in advance, Bob

I'm working on a '73 240z, and while I'm fine with mechanical work and such, wheels and tire sizes are a completely different world to me. My 240 is basically stock with the L28 and 5-speed swap, and Tokico Illumia adjustables. My daily is my motorcycle so the Z would be mostly when I need to haul stuff around, when it rains, and the occasional time when I feel like carving up the hills. I guess i'm looking for a decently grippy all weather tire. I'm leaning toward the Bridgestone Potenza RE970AS Pole position. So far I like the XXR 527 and 551 but I don't know what size or offset or any of that. I don't want them to stick out and don't want to put fender flares on. …

As you probably read on my exhaust thread, I'm going bullistic on this rebuild. The 260Z is a 2/74' or Early 260Z. I plan on doing a thread for each of the highly involved mods, upgrades, improvements or projects inside the build. So this one is on my brake upgrades. I always hate looking deep inside 20 threads with 20 plus pages to find info on a particular upgrade that I'm interested in. So this one will have nothing but my brake upgrades, parts, prices, pictures and info. So here we go..... On the FRONT Brakes. I chose to go with the 1985 Toyota 4X4 Non-Vented rotor, 4 Piston Calipers, The part number on the calipers is S12-8. They are a direct bolt on using the sto…

Lets be completely clear, yes, I love my panasports. They are perfect in every way (Guy looking at you bud! ), but sometimes you just want something different for a while. Can you have too many swiss watches? Can you have too many .45 caliber Firearms? Is it possible to have too many vintage cars? I say no too those and many other questions like...No honey I have not had enough cookies today. So I could no longer resist the temptation of the satin black konig rewinds sold by MSA for 479 shipped. So badda bing one click later they are on the way. Lets talk tires. Recall I have tried three different sized on my 15x7 wheels up to this point. 205/60/15 w…

I just got my new rims and tires. Hyper Black Rota RB-R 16x8 +10 with Hancook H105 225/50/16 96V XL tires($110 each buy 4 get one free). I have a 73 240z. I went back and forth between the 16x7 and the 16x8 since for every one person that said the 8's would fit there was someone else that said they don't fit. I called 18 racing and they told me the 16x8 +10 would work. The rears fit with no spacers and I probably don't need to roll fenders at all but I probably will before I paint the car. The gap is around 3/16 to 1/4 inch from the tire to the perch. The fronts I read needed a 5mm spacer but I had some 3mm spacers from when I purchased the car so all I did was sand dow…

OK.... Does anyone make 215/60/R14 tires anymore? Also known as 215/60/14 or P215/60/14 Trying to find a set for Ruby. They seem to have a vintage 70's Racer look and I suspect I know why. I know Goodyear used to make them cause it's on my front left wheel and the Futura GT's front right are the same size too, no telling how old they are though . But I went to Sears Tire to order this size and the Fine Indi Broad said Falken don't make them (N/A Discontinued) nor does Goodyear, BFG and jus about everybody else we tried. If anyone knows who stocks em please let me know as the 215/70/R14's on the back rims are UGLY ! ! ! ~Z~
